What will you be doing:

 

We are looking for an experienced, talented, and compassionate Director of Hospice for a full-time position located in our Norwell office.

The Director of Hospice is responsible for the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of the department including growth and financial performance. You will provide quality leadership that supports the mission, strategy and business objectives of our organization. The Director of Hospice establishes, implements, and evaluates goals and objectives for hospice services that meet and promote our standards of quality and contribute to the total growth of the organization.

 

What will you do:

  • Maintain full responsibility of the overall functions of the financial areas and cost controls of the department, adhere to fiscal and accounting policies
  • and procedures and manage expenditures in a fiscally responsible manner.
  • Provides quality leadership that supports the mission, strategic and business objectives of the organization; creates a dynamic environment that
  • promotes quality care through supervision and professional development
  • Provides supervision, guidance and direction to the department in all matters relating to the delivery of community-based services to assure that quality
  • standards are maintained and clinical metrics are achieved.
  • Completes written performance evaluations of clinical managers and conducts annual performance reviews per agency guidelines.
  • Demonstrates the ability to make decisions independently which benefits the organization as a whole, based on key issues.  Works for solutions that are
  • mutually beneficial to both agency operations and employees.  Uses own knowledge and experience as well as other resources as necessary to make logical
  •  decisions and solve problems.
  • Collaborates on the development, implementation and monitoring of agency programs, practice protocols, standard operating procedures and adherence to compliance. 
  • Collaborates on the evaluation of programs and services, recommends techniques and procedures that will result in efficient utilization of personnel & resources.

 

What we’re looking for in you:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8+ years community health experience.
  • 5 years of Management and Supervisory experience.
  • Recent Hospice experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Hospice regulations and eligibility required.
  • Superior leadership, interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational, decision-making, problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Excellent analytical ability.                                 
  • Proficient computer skills; Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.                 
  • Working knowledge electronic medical record required, Brightree / MatrixCare a plus.
  • Ability to handle work under pressure.
  • Proficient team collaboration
  • Maintain confidentiality and independent judgement
