We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized HR/Payroll Administrator to support payroll processing and day-to-day HR functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll systems, employment laws, and HR best practices. This role requires discretion, accuracy, and a customer-service mindset to support employees and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations..
What you'll be doing:

Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Administration
- Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Handle employee queries related to payroll, deductions, and timekeeping
- Maintain payroll records and manage any necessary adjustments (e.g., bonuses, overtime, leave)
- Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws
- Coordinate with accounting for payroll-related journal entries and tax filings
Human Resources Support
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation and orientation
- Support employee engagement activities
- Manage the HR ticketing system and assign tasks
- Maintain accurate employee records including contracts, benefits, and personal information
- Assist with recruitment activities including job postings, interview scheduling, and onboarding
- Assist with employee benefits, leave tracking, and workers' compensation claims
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and payroll
- Ensure compliance with HR regulations and company policies
- All other duties as assigned
Reporting & Compliance
- Generate regular and ad hoc payroll and HR reports as requested
- Assist with internal and external audits related to HR and payroll
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information
What we're looking for in you:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- 2+ years in HR and/or payroll administration.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g. ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks Payroll) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of Labor laws and payroll regulations, benefits administration and employee lifecycle process.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
