We are looking for a Temporary IT Support Desk Tech to work Full Time 40 hours weekly, in this position, you will provide superior customer service to the Agency. We are looking for a qualified support technician to assist our Agency with problems concerning computer hardware, software, and peripheral equipment as well as Apple products. The Support Desk Technician will work with Agency staff over the phone and in person guiding them through problems and finding a solution to them. Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills are critical in this role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide professional and user-focused support to staff at all levels
- Demonstrate strong customer service by actively listening, empathizing with users, and communicating clearly, even in high-pressure situations
- Basic troubleshooting knowledge of iPads, iPhones, laptops, desktops, Microsoft Windows, and Office applications.
- Assist with onboarding new users, ensuring new users have a seamless IT experience from day one
- Participate in IT projects at any of the Agency locations
- Respond to user inquiries and resolve technical problems in a timely manner
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure the smooth operation of all IT systems
- Assist with software and hardware upgrades and deployments
- Maintain accurate records of technical support requests and resolutions in Jamf ticketing system
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends in end-user support and customer service best practices
Experience/Education:
- Associate degree or equivalent in information technology or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in IT support or a similar role
- Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems
- Experience in troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus
