Hospice & Palliative Medical Director (Part-Time / Per Diem)
Location: Norwell, Ma (Community-based with hybrid flexibility)
Hours: 20–25 per week; per diem applicants welcome
Pay: $150–$180/hour (depending on experience and board certification)
About the Role
We’re seeking a compassionate and experienced Hospice & Palliative Medical Director to provide medical leadership, oversight, and direct patient care for our community-based hospice program. In this role you’ll guide an interdisciplinary team, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and help advance our palliative care services.
Key Responsibilities
Certify hospice eligibility and provide medical oversight of patient care plans.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and quality initiatives.
Supervise/mentor hospice team members and support staff training.
Update protocols and ensure regulatory compliance.
Represent hospice and palliative care in the community.
Qualifications
MD or DO with unrestricted Massachusetts license and DEA registration.
Board Certification/Eligibility in Hospice & Palliative Medicine preferred (or Internal Medicine/Family Medicine/Geriatrics with hospice experience).
Minimum 2 years’ experience in hospice or palliative care.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
