Job Title:  Director of Planning and Procurement
Location: Taiwan, Taipei

JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Planning and Procurement will be responsible for overseeing the supply planning process, purchasing, and supplier management functions within our organization. This role will collaborate closely with supplier quality, demand planning, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of our products.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement supply planning strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce costs, and improve delivery performance.
  • Manage the purchasing process, including negotiating contracts, placing purchase orders, and monitoring supplier performance.
  • Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers, ensuring they meet our quality standards and can support our growth objectives.
  • Hold quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with suppliers to assess performance, identify improvement opportunities, and strengthen relationships.
  • Take end-to-end commercial responsibility for supplier relationships, ensuring that all agreements are aligned with our business goals.
  • Collaborate with the new product introduction (NPI) team to ensure that suppliers are ready to support new product launches.
  • Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
  • At least 15 years of experience in supply planning, purchasing, and supplier management, preferably in the consumer electronics industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a proven track record of managing supplier relationships.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficient in supply chain management software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin is required.
