Job Title: Software/Firmware Program Manager

JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Software/Firmware Program Manager to oversee and coordinate the development, deployment, and support of software and firmware projects. This role bridges the gap between technical teams and stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and alignment with organizational goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Program Planning and Management:
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Track program progress and ensure adherence to milestones and deadlines.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Act as the main point of contact between internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders.
- Facilitate clear and open communication to resolve roadblocks and align on priorities.
- Technical Oversight:
- Collaborate with engineers to review technical designs, implementation, and validation.
- Support bug tracking and resolution processes.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and address issues proactively to minimize project disruptions.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
- Maintain comprehensive program documentation, including specifications, testing results, and change logs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree is required. Majoring in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), and/or other accredited project or program management certifications.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in software/firmware development or program management.
- Proven track record of managing cross-functional projects in a technical environment.
- Experience in embedded systems, IoT, or hardware/software integration is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with firmware development, testing, and deployment processes.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, SmartSheet).
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
