Salary Range: $86,000 - $94,000

Position: ORAT Consultant I

Position Overview
LAWA is recruiting a candidate to fill the Airport Operational Readiness (AOR) Operations Support position. The successful candidate will be assisting as Operations subject matter expert in the planning, development, coordination, scheduling, and execution of operational readiness elements for many of LAWA’s Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) with an emphasis on Airport operations, ensuring seamless integration and operational efficiency.

Essential Job Duties
Participate in and support planning of the Airport Operational Readiness (AOR) Program ensuring integration of airside, terminal, and landside operational needs into new facilities and systems.
Review project design and specifications documents to determine the operational requirements of facilities and systems for select CIP projects focusing on enhancing airport operations efficiency.
Conduct project assessments to develop a comprehensive list of standard operating procedures (SOPs) required for new projects related to airport operations requirements.
Coordinate and facilitate working groups to ensure operations requirements of systems/equipment, facilities and stakeholders needs are captured and shared with relevant stakeholders for the operational readiness of new facilities.
Identify and develop risks and issues lists, per project ensuring operational disruptions are mitigated and readiness goals are met.
Assist in defining/aligning operational performance/acceptance levels for project final acceptance conditions relating with the applicable stakeholders.
Work closely with the AOR Subject Matt er Experts on the operational readiness requirements.
Submits weekly work eff orts and status reports to the AOR Manager, highlighting airport operational readiness progress.


Professional Experience Level/Other Qualifications
5 years of experience in an airport operational setting is required.
Comprehensive knowledge of industry practices for airport systems and operations practices.
Possess technical skills in project management, aviation operations, training, documentation, communications, and/or operational or technology testing.
Proven leadership and management capability is required.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.


Education/Training
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Aviation, Business Administration, Construction, Planning or related fi elds; preferred with a concentration in training and development; Airport Operations; or related field.
Hardware/Software Knowledge
Word, Excel, Power Point, Prolog, Outlook, Office 365, Bluebeam, Citiri, video training aides.
Project-Specific Requirements/Notes
A minimum of 5+ years experience at a level within a similar role.
Proven ability to work under pressure.
Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
Proven team management skills with effective communication across functions.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Comprehensive knowledge of industry practices for airport systems.
Possess technical skills in project management, aviation operations, training, documentation, communications, and/or operational or technology testing.
Proven leadership and management capability is required.
Conduct business in a professional manner, keeping the client and projects at the forefront of every day’s priority.
Work with team members to actively contribute to the group to complete tasks, meet goals or manage projects.
Work as a team player, actively listening to coworkers, respect ideas and aim to improve the product or process at hand.
Great written and oral communications skills.
Excellent planning and organizational skills as well as time management.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Analytical and logical thinking required.
May assume other duties as required/needed.
Registration/Certification
Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) development, Flight Operations, Record-Keeping, Emergency Planning, Safety Management System, Airspace and International Operations, Security, Resource Management. Other applicable Professional Training & Development Certifications
