Position Title: EMS Senior Technician

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator/Engineer to join our team and contribute to our ongoing success. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the successful planning and execution of electrical projects.
Position: EMS Senior Technician M&O
Salary Range: $92,000 - $99,000
Location: Onsite (Los Angeles, CA)
Type: Full-Time
Duties:
- Assist with HVAC Controls Design and Submittal reviews
- Assist in reviewing utility data and energy usage to identify schools for recommissioning and retro
commissioning
- Assist in reviewing EMS and energy data, and alarms to identify no cost/low-cost energy
conservation measures
- Assist in the review of EMS, energy data, and alarms to identify preventive maintenance measures
- Perform site visits to investigate as built conditions on identified projects
- Implement low-cost to no-cost solutions or alternatives to projects/repairs of EMS systems at
existing school sites
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems
- Respond to basic warranty calls -- - ---- Calibrate systems requiring basic electronic test equipment
- Assist in managing In-House Commissioning Projects
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Experience:
1- Minimum of three (3) years’ professional experience in building controls or a related field
- Understanding of computer networking principles, including configuration, maintenance, and
troubleshooting
- Ability to wire, start up, and troubleshoot basic HVAC maintenance issues
- Fundamental understanding of HVAC operations within a facility.
Required Education:
- Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s or associate degree in
engineering (mechanical, computer science, electrical, information technology) OR
- Two-year technical degree in HVAC, Electronics-related studies with additional 2 years of
experience to compensate for education on a year-for-year basis
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with multiple controls manufacturers including Automated Logic, Carrier, Delta,
Distech, Schneider Electric, or Trane
- Proven ability to debug installation issues during both static and dynamic start-up phases
- Experience supporting installation personnel and other contractors on project sites
- Extensive experience in performing or assisting in performance of commissioning of EMS
