Position Title: Facilities IT Specialist

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator/Engineer to join our team and contribute to our ongoing success. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the successful planning and execution of electrical projects.

Salary Range:  $114,000 - $121,000

Location: Onsite (Los Angeles, CA)

Position: Facilities IT Specialist

Duties:
9.1  Directs and manages projects from cradle to grave including project initiation, planning, 
execution, monitoring and controlling, and closing
9.2  Defines project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration 
with senior management and stakeholders
9.3  Develops project plans and associated communication documents including Project Charters
9.4  Manages and oversees the work of Business Systems Analysts
9.5  Effectively communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and 
clear fashion
9.6  Manages client relationships to ensure the appropriate level of participation
9.7  Manages vendor relationships and resources to ensure effective execution of the project
9.8  Develops and manages project budgets
9.9  Identifies and manages project risks as well as issues that arise and the action items 
required to resolve them
9.10 Plans and schedules project timelines and milestones using MS Project and track project 
milestones and deliverables
9.11 Develops and delivers project status reports
9.12 Coaches, mentors, motivates, and supervises project team members (employees, contractors, and 
vendors) and influences them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
9.13 Conducts project post mortems and creates recommendations in order to improve execution of
future projects

10. Minimum Requirements

10.5 Experience working closely with project stakeholders including clients, users and management 
to coordinate work efforts across multiple groups to ensure that project goals are met within the 
established timeframes
10.6 Experience defining technology solutions to business problems with input from business subject 
matter experts leading to the creation of Project Charters to support initiation of Projects
10.7 Develop work estimates, work breakdown structures and the project work plan; prepare a 
consolidated work plan for initiatives that involve multiple related projects
10.8 Strong conflict resolution, negotiating and influencing skills
10.9 Experience with standard set of practices that ensure the integrity and quality of project 
deliverables
10.10 Experience in preparing and implementing test plans
10.11 Managing successful, large-scale IT projects, that include software analysis, design, 
development testing and implementation
10.12 Working with User Acceptance Testing methodologies and documentation in large complex and 
heterogeneous technical environments
10.13  Using project planning tools such as MS Project to track and maintain project plans, work 
breakdown structures and timelines
10.14  Creating and presenting internal and external status reports and detailed status reports 
suitable for presentation Project Steering Committee and senior management
10.15  Leading the project technical and operational team, facilitating the project meetings and 
maintaining the project objectives through effective project management skills
10.16  Delivering the project deliverables within the agreed schedule, to the correct technical 
specification, i.e., defined to meet user requirements, and within the approved budget and other 
specified criteria

Education:
10.17 Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree
10.18 Completion of a bachelor’s or master's degree in engineering, computer science, information
technology or systems engineering is preferred

Knowledge/Skills:
10.19 Excellent written and verbal skills
10.20 Productivity/Office Tools, e.g. MS-Visio, MS-Project, MS-Excel, MS-Word, MS-PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:
10.21 AEC industry experience strongly preferred; LAUSD experience preferred
10.22 Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
10.23 Relational Database Management Systems, e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase
10.24 Reporting Tools, e.g. BIRT, Tableau, Crystal Reports, Actuate, or others
10.25 Programming Languages, e.g. Java, C, C++, Open ACS, Oracle PL/SQL
10.26 Programming Procedures, e.g. ASP, TCL, JSP, PHP, PYTHON
10.27  Report Development Tools, e.g. Toad, Business Objects/Crystal Reports, Oracle APEX, or other 
Agile Development Tools
