Position: Safety Assistant Manager II
Salary Range: $151,000 - $162,000
Location: Onsite (Los Angeles, CA)
Type: Full-Time
Position Description Summary
The Assistant Program Safety Manager II works with contractors, LAWA inspection, the Project Management Team, and others to ensure assigned projects are implementing effective safety programs and meeting the requirements of the contract documents with regards to safety and security.
Essential Job Duties
Ability to:
1. Work with Contractor Safety Team, LAWA Inspection Team, Project Management Team, and others in order to ensure assigned projects are implementing effective safety programs.
2. Walk all assigned projects on a regular basis and possibly multiple times daily which can total a few miles a day.
3. Engage with the LAWA ADG Safety platform to perform Task Hazard Analysis audits and report safety observations.
4. Meet with LAWA Inspectors and other stakeholders regarding safety concerns and follow-up actions taken by the contractor.
5. Review written Safety Plans and verify results of safety performance and compliance in the field on an ongoing basis to evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation.
6. Assist the Project/Construction Manager to verify that contractors comply with written documentation requirements including weekly "toolbox" meetings, new employee orientation, daily safety inspection reports, any accident/incident and related investigation reports, provision of "competent" or authorized persons documentation including training records and Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs).
7. Be self-motivated individual who can research pertinent requirements not readily available.
8. Attend Project Progress and Project Safety Committee meetings as directed to monitor the ongoing safety effort of the Construction Manager and contractor.
9. Attend and participated in Construction Safety Advisory Council Meetings, as directed by the Program Safety Manager.
10. Ability to write clear and effective reports. 11. Attend and participate in the Monthly All-Hands Safety Meeting to discuss general program safety concerns and successes as well as present updates and information on safety regulations and requirements including a monthly training program component on related safety subject matter.
12. Coordinate with management to promote the proactive and behavior-based ADG Safety Program both internally and externally (e.g., National Safety Council, trade and professional organizations, etc.) and to bring positive publicity to the program and ADG.
13. Contribute to the advancement of ADG's goals through commitment to productive collaboration with all stakeholders.
14. Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing responsibilities.
Hardware/Software Knowledge: 1. Effectively use Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro software. 2. Large-scale construction management software such as PMWeb, and other computers
software and applications as needed. 3. Create PowerPoint presentations.
Education/Training/Professional Experience: 1. See MATOC REQUIREMENTS
2. Supervisory experience of other safety professionals a plus
3. Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing responsibilities
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Bi-lingual a plus)
5. Solid people skills with professional demeanor
6. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate safety policies and practices
7. Must have analytical reasoning and problem-solving capabilities
8. Must be able to write reports based on safety observations, incorporate photos, and distribute
9. Balanced approach to technical, business and people aspects of business
Element-Specific Requirements:
1. May be assigned other duties as needed and may be required to work the night shift.
2. May be required to work past regular work shift and to come in on a regular day off and during regular off
hours.
3. May be required to start a regular shift at any time of day or night
4. May be required to start a regular work week any day of the week
5. Will be required to conduct Cal OSHA training to LAWA staff and others—Cal OSHA authorized instructor
within 6 months of hire.
6. May be required to provide CPR/1st Aid Training
7. Will be required to pass the federal background check and obtain a LAWA Badge with RACCI, Customs, and
Driver icons
8. Will be required a vehicle that can access the AOA.
Key Performance Indicators
• Project walks with contractors, inspection, and others per week
• Quality of PSM Weekly Safety Reports, Observations, submittal reviews and or feedback provided
• Engagement (monitor and feedback) with staff—inspection and PM/CM staff.
• Coaching and training of staff—inspection and PM/CM staff.

Position: Business Analyst I
Salary Range: $75,000 - $82,000
Location: Onsite (Los Angeles, CA)
Type: Full-Time
Position Description:
• SME for department systems and system integration and implementation projects.
• Reconcile financial accounts and reports. Identify discrepancies or inconsistencies and resolve expeditiously to maintain controls.
• Prepare and/or review assigned financial statements, reports and analysis and address/ resolve issues.
• Responsible for the accrual process, journal entry process, debit/credit memos, etc. ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Includes the preparation and routing of such for approval as well as the maintenance and reconciliation of logs.
• Approve/release invoices per accounting procedures and as assigned by Finance Manager.
• Prepare and/or review, as assigned, vendor files or other supporting documentation for vendor payments.
• Communicate with applicable construction and professional services vendors as needed.
• Assist in processing of general contractor’s payment analysis.
• Work directly and effectively with the accounting team and other department personnel on bond related matters.
• Evaluate and ensure bond compliance in regard to financial accounting, reporting and invoice payments.
• Complete any bond related assignments as assigned by manager.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
• 3-5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related degree.
• Experience in working with business enterprise or accounting systems.
• Experience performing historical trends and analyze results.
• Experience creating monthly financial reports and analyzing results.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate and present effectively with all levels of an organization.
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to lead projects to successful conclusion.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bond program experience
• Construction program experience
• Costpoint and/or Proliance experience
