Summer Intern (Asset Management)

Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
- Prepare quarterly review packages for investments held by HPS‘ private BDCs (“HLEND“ and “HCAP”). This process will entail updating financial trackers and commentating on an investment’s quarterly performance. Review packages will then be presented to HLEND’s and HCAP’s senior management team during quarterly portfolio review.
- Assist the Direct Lending deal teams in preparing quarterly review packages for portfolio companies. Candidate will be responsible for updating quarterly financial trackers using the latest financial statements received from the portfolio company.
- Work with the Asset Management team on intra-quarter valuations projects and requests on an as-needed basis.
- Assist the Asset Management team with developing and maintaining valuation models inclusive of discounted cash flow projections, public comparable analysis and precedent transaction research.
Candidate Profile
- Working towards a bachelor‘s degree in finance, accounting, or a similar field
- Understanding of financial statements, capital structures, and investment metrics
- Experienced in Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Team player with a strong work ethic
