About the Role
You will oversee One Acre Fund's bustling warehouse operations at 1 of 4 locations. You'll ensure efficient inventory management, optimizing warehouse processes and leading a motivated team. You will report to the Tupande Warehouse Associate and oversee a team of up to 8 people, with 3 direct reports.
Responsibilities
- Inventory Management

Maintain accurate & stock control in adherence to Tupande inventory management policies

Oversee stock quality measures to minimize inventory losses.

Perform regular inventory counts and initiate improvements across each cycle.

- Manage Outbound Inventory with Transactional Integrity

Provide strategic oversight for order processing and distribution, ensuring standard operating procedures expectations are met.

- Guarantee Operational Excellence in the Warehouse

Manage warehouse space to enhance operational efficiency, prevent input mix-ups, and ensure efficient storage of items.

Direct the allocation of warehouse resources and implement security measures to protect inventory and ensure a safe working environment.

Lead process improvement initiatives, applying 5-S methodologies to enhance operational workflows.

- Workforce Management and Operational Efficiency
- Organize and conduct recruitment and training for warehouse staff to ensure performance targets and adherence to operational standards.
- Oversee the efficient use and maintenance of warehouse resources.
- Foster a collaborative environment and motivate staff to achieve productivity targets.
- Manage petty cash and process payments for casual labor, ensuring all transactions are conducted accurate.

Qualifications
Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:
- At least 2+ years of experience directly managing operations within a warehouse.
- Bachelor’s Degree in in Supply Chain Operations, Business or equivalent through experience.
- Proficiency with inventory management systems required for stock control and oversight.
- Advanced capabilities in Excel (can perform complex functions) & Google Sheets.
- Capability to organize efficient operations.
- Stakeholder management skills.
- Expertise in solving operational challenges.
