About the Role

As a Dispatch Supervisor, you will coordinate dispatch operations to ensure timely and efficient deliveries. Your key objective will be to enhance our dispatch efficiency and contribute to our mission by effectively managing the dispatch team. You will oversee the dispatch processes and team performance. You will be a part of the Logistics Department and report directly to the assigned warehouse manager. This role is onsite based within various warehouse locations in Kenya.

Responsibilities

As a Dispatch Supervisor, you will coordinate dispatch operations to ensure timely and efficient deliveries. Your key objective will be to enhance our dispatch efficiency and contribute to our mission by managing the dispatch team. You will:

  • Manage Dispatch Operations (40%):

    • Oversee all dispatch activities to ensure timely delivery of goods.
    • Collaborate with the fleet team to execute dispatch schedules for efficiency.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve any dispatch-related issues.
  • Team Management (30%):

    • Supervise and provide guidance to the warehouse dispatch team.
    • Train, motivate, and evaluate the performance of dispatch staff.
    • Ensure adherence to company policies & procedures.
  • Quality Control (20%):

    • Perform quality checks on goods before dispatch.
    • Ensure all outbound shipments are accurate and meet quality standards.
    • Report any discrepancies or damages to the relevant department.
  • Collaboration and Communication (10%):

    • Work with other departments to ensure a seamless dispatch process.
    • Communicate effectively with drivers and fleet management.

Qualifications

Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:

  • 2+ years of experience in dispatch management or a related field.
  • 3+ years of work experience in Kenya.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management software and other relevant tools.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain management principles.
  • Technical expertise in dispatch operations.
  • English language proficiency is required; additional languages such as Swahili is highly beneficial.
