About the Role
Kenya Digital Channels and Loan Management Team foresees the development and improvements of self-service digital channels for farmers. Our current client self-service platforms are USSD, Bulk SMS , 2-way SMS, Chatbot, IVR with over 3 million sessions each month and a budget of 700,000 USD annually. We also manage KYC business operations for Tupande Loan, ensuring the review and compliance of over 300,000 active loans, with a cumulative credit value exceeding 40 million USD.
As a Loan Management Coordinator you will help optimize loan operations, ensuring compliance with KYC regulations including managing KYC Compliance, automating Loan processes providing a frictionless enrollment experience for our farmers. You will manage 2-3 Direct reports. You will be part of the Digital Channels and Loan Management team Digital Team and will report directly to the Digital Channels and Loan Management Lead. This role is based in Kakamega and is a hybrid role .
Responsibilities
- You will work with the Digital Channels & Loan Management (DC&LM) Lead to streamline KYC Compliance, minimize bottlenecks, and enhance efficiency for Tupande Loan ensuring compliance of active and completed loans.
- You will implement best practices to maintain KYC compliance, including IPRS verification, Credit Scoring, OCR, OTP, and other enrollment checks, KYC risk mitigation and ensuring adherence to financial control requirements.
- You will Identify opportunities by conducting field visits to gain firsthand insights for process improvement and efficiency in Loan Management.
- You will collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement new features, ensuring seamless workflows and operational excellence.
- You will maintain comprehensive reporting mechanisms for loan management operations while tracking goals and service level agreements to monitor loan operations effectiveness.

Qualifications
Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for.
We are seeking someone with a background in Loan Management, Business Operations, or a related field, with an intermediate level of knowledge in analytics and compliance processes.
For this role specifically, you will have:
- A relevant Bachelor's Degree (Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management).
- 3+ years in Loan operations, KYC/AML compliance, or financial services.
- Google Sheets experience with CRM or loan systems.
- Analytical skills with knowledge in SQL, R, or Python
- Language: English and Kiswahili are required for this role.
