About the Role
The Junior Cost Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring financial data integrity and operational transparency across Soko's manufacturing operations. The role focuses on accurate SAP transaction execution, cost control under US GAAP, and proactive variance monitoring. You will be a part of Financial Advisory Services (FAS) and will report directly to Senior Finance Strategy Associate. This role is based in Sagana and is onsite.
Responsibilities
Financial Data Ownership (40%)
- Own and execute SAP transactions, including production orders, inventory movements, AR/AP postings, and customer invoicing.
- Ensure complete and accurate financial reporting across all Soko value chains.
Inventory Costing & Valuation (25%)
- Apply absorption costing and inventory valuation under US GAAP.
- Reconcile physical inventory with SAP records, participate in stock counts, and resolve mismatches.
Receivables Management & Export Documentation (20%)
- Manage local receivables, including ageing analysis, payment tracking, and escalation of delinquent accounts.
- Support export receivables by coordinating invoicing, documentation, and credit loss reviews.
Variance Monitoring & Control Improvements (15%)
- Track and explain production/cost variances across warehouse stages.
- Support root cause investigations of discrepancies and propose improvements to the Soko Finance Manual and SOPs.

Qualifications
Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:
- 3–5 years of experience in cost accounting or manufacturing finance.
- Proven knowledge of SAP ERP modules (Production, Inventory, AR/AP).
- Strong technical expertise in Cost Accounting under US GAAP/IFRS.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reconciliation tools.
- Knowledge of manufacturing process flows and data reconciliation techniques.
- Language requirement: English (mandatory).
