Our Kenya program, founded in 2006, operates under the local brand Tupande. Close to 500 staff in our Kakamega headquarters support 1,747 field staff and serve more than 1 million farmers. In Nairobi, around 50 staff support global functions like procurement, recruitment, government relations, and communications
About the Role
Ensure 24/7 security & compliance for OAF warehouses via CCTV. This critical Control Monitoring Officer role detects/escalates incidents, prevents loss, upholds SOPs, and manages system integrity. High-impact position.
Responsibilities
Real-Time CCTV Monitoring & Incident Detection
- Maintain continuous monitoring of warehouse and facility CCTV feeds for security, safety, and compliance risks.
- Identify, flag, and report suspicious activity, unauthorized access, or SOP violations in real time.
- Ensure monitoring logs are accurate, comprehensive, and submitted on time.
Incident Reporting & Escalation
- Document all incidents in the CCTV Incident Log with clear evidence (timestamps, screenshots, descriptions).
- Escalate high-risk or urgent incidents immediately to Security, Warehouse Managers, or Compliance.
- Provide trace footage retrieval support for investigations, operational audits, or dispute resolution.
System Integrity & Uptime Management
- Perform basic first-level checks on camera visibility, recording health, system uptime, and network stability.
- Promptly report technical faults to IT/installer partners (Securex/Optace) for resolution.
- Ensure all cameras covering critical zones (receiving, dispatch, staging, storage, entry/exit points) are functioning.
Compliance Support & Operational Control
- Verify that warehouse operations follow SOPs through CCTV—e.g., staging completeness, seal checks, goods offloading, night security routines.
- Provide daily summaries of non-compliances observed on camera.
- Support audits by sharing footage for cycle counts, seal verifications, overnight activities, and movement reviews.

Qualifications
Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:
- Proficiency in CCTV monitoring systems (EZ-Station, HikCentral, Nx Witness, or similar VMS).
- Basic understanding of camera layouts, coverage zones, and system health checks.
- Ability to retrieve, export, and secure footage with metadata.
- Strong computer literacy (Windows, Excel, logging tools).
- Understanding of security protocols, warehouse SOPs, and incident classification.
- Awareness of loss prevention controls and access management policies.
- Basic familiarity with inventory flows (receiving, dispatch, staging, storage).
