About the Role
This role involves the transportation of the raw materials round the factory.
Responsibilities
- Loading/Unloading: Move raw avocados from trucks to the warehouse for ripening.
- Transporting: Move fruit to various factory stages to keep the processing line running.
- Forklift Operation: Operate the forklift safely and keep it in good working condition.
- Maintenance: Perform equipment repairs and report any machinery issues to supervisors.
- Safety Adherence: Follow all workplace safety rules and procedures at all times.
- Stock Tracking: Help with inventory counts and tracking fruit origin (traceability).
- Coordination: Collaborate with all departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Process Improvement: Suggest more efficient ways to organise and run the warehouse.
- Safety Implementation: Apply food safety standards throughout the entire processing cycle.
- SHEQ Compliance: Follow all health, environmental, and quality rules during your shift.
Meetings & Audits: Participate in food safety meetings and official inspections.

Qualifications
Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:
- Certified forklift operator with a valid driving license and 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
- Expert knowledge of Food Safety (FSMS), Environmental, and Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) standards.
- Strong analytical skills used to identify root causes and perform maintenance to meet operational targets.
- Detail-oriented team player with excellent time management and communication skills to support production flow.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for clear reporting and effective team collaboration.
