Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Environment Specialist with AWS Solutions Architect Expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of creating and managing Dev, UAT, and PRD environments using AWS Solutions Architect principles. This role requires expertise in designing cost-effective, scalable environments, maintaining existing systems, and implementing CI/CD pipelines with a focus on security and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy Blue/Green environments for Development, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Production (PRD) on AWS.
  • Optimize environment configurations for cost efficiency, scalability, and performance.
  • Leverage AWS Solutions Architect skills to design and implement highly available, fault-tolerant, and secure environments.
  • Utilize AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, and CloudFormation to build robust solutions.
  • Implement monitoring solutions using AWS tools like CloudWatch and Cost Explorer to track performance and budgets.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend optimizations for AWS resource usage.
  • Maintain and improve existing environments, ensuring minimal downtime and high availability.
  • Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy.
  • Integrate security best practices into the environment setup, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
  • Monitor and mitigate risks through continuous security assessments and updates.
  • Document all environment configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, QA, and operations to align infrastructure with business goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of experience in software development and application enhancement.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to prioritize enhancements based on customer needs.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and providing support for users.

Skills:

  • Must have AWS Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) certification and experience in implementing AWS best practices.
  • Proven ability to design and manage Blue/Green environments for Dev, UAT, and PRD.
  • Strong understanding of AWS cost management tools and practices.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and workflows (AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
  • Expertise in integrating security into development and deployment processes.
  • Experience with AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, or similar tools for performance monitoring and alerting.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Advanced Networking, AWS Security).
  • Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
  • Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
