Associate, Pricing and Optimization

Obra Capital is seeking an Associate, Pricing and Optimization to join our growing asset management team. The role sits within the policy group and will help manage all aspects of the owned policies. Day to day, this role will involve evaluating existing life contingent assets and ensuring they continue to align with portfolio objectives. In addition, this role will work closely with the new acquisition team to optimize pricing.
Responsibilities
- Work in the evaluation of existing life contingent assets by providing in-depth analytical support.
- Investment monitoring and performance reporting including, but not limited to, building reports, models, and performing analysis for current and potential investors.
- Maintain policies by creating and optimizing premium streams.
- Manage the grace notice and premium payment process.
- Manage various special projects on an ad-hoc basis that require analytical expertise.
- Master knowledge around portfolio management and the quantitative mechanics that underlie life contingent assets.
- Determine the value of life settlements on the secondary and tertiary market.
- Develop new and maintain existing pricing models.
- Communicate with clients, agents, and brokers to ensure case documentation is complete.
- Work with case managers to ensure timely response to clients.
- Compile data and produce reports to track market pricing trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree BA/BS in Business, Economics, Finance, or 3+ years of experience in Life Settlements, Life Insurance, Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, Consulting, or related fields.
- Competence in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with life insurance products is a plus.
- Financial modeling experience
- Experience with ClariNet or MAPS is a plus.
Compensation:
The expected base salary range for this role is outlined below. In addition to the base salary, total compensation may include a discretionary bonus based on performance. This range given is a best faith estimate which reflects a variety of factors, including years of relevant experience, education, location and other qualifications pertinent to the position. Base salary does not include any other performance based compensation such as year end cash bonus.

Salary Range
$120,000 - $140,000 USD
