Position Summary:

OceanX seeks an experienced Senior Email Marketing Manager to plan and manage end-to-end marketing communication to current and potential partners and the broader consumer subscriber base. The Senior Email Marketing Manager will join the Marketing and Communication (MarCom) team at OceanX, supporting day-to-day needs related to email content production, asset development, audience segmentation, sending, reporting, and optimization. This team member will play a key role on the marketing and communications team, developing content that drives partner understanding, engagement, and relationship development. 

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience with end-to-end email marketing experience, with proven success driving strategic content production and management of the technical aspects of email marketing. Preferred if the candidate has some experience with other cross-functional communication and marketing tactics and teams, as this role will be expected to support broader marketing activities as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead email production, including content calendar planning, content creation, approvals, scheduling, testing, and updating of HTML emails. 
  • Develop email content, including copy and asset curation to effectively share relevant news to curated audiences. 
  • Manage our email service provider and all necessary integrations with our CRM to ensure seamless delivery, proper list segmentation and management, and effective information flow between systems.  
  • Build and manage audience segments, automations, customer journeys, and triggers to help achieve organizational goals.  
  • Continually optimize email programs through testing of creative, cadence, targeting, etc.  
  • Serve as OceanX’s email expert, advocating for best practices and data-based approaches. Stay on top of email trends, deliverability requirements, email regulations, etc.  
  • Lead regular analysis and reporting on all email marketing activities.  
  • Coordinate with colleagues across teams as needed. Some non-traditional work hours will be required due to the global nature of OceanX’s work.  
  • Other marketing and communication activities, as needed.


Qualifications:

Professional Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 5+ years experience with email production, campaign management, strategy, and system management
  • Experience with Klaviyo or similar email system
  • Experience with Salesforce 
  • Extensive experience with email content development and deployment, with a strong understanding of QA processes 
  • Proven success with HTML for email, and strong familiarity with responsive design for cross-browser performance 
  • Demonstrated experience in project management

Compensation:

Compensation for the role includes a competitive salary (inclusive of a merit-based bonus, dependent on years of experience, level of education obtained, as well as applicable skillset). This position will also offer an excellent benefits package, including a comprehensive employer paid medical plan and CPF.
