Job Summary:  

This is a temporary/part-time inside sales role. The Healthcare Outreach Representative promotes Octave Therapy's behavioral health services to primary care physicians and psychiatry practices. This inside sales role drives patient referrals, builds provider relationships, and expands Octave's reach in markets not covered by field-based Outreach Managers. 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Sales Execution
    • Make outbound calls to providers in whitespace markets not covered by field-based Outreach Managers
    • Manage inbound requests from healthcare providers interested in Octave's services
    • Conduct virtual presentations that educate physicians and staff on Octave's care model, outcomes data, and patient benefits
    • Overcome objections and close providers on establishing Octave as their preferred behavioral health referral partner
    • Meet assigned referral targets and complete required virtual sales activities to drive leads and conversions
  • Account Development
    • Build a deep understanding of Octave's services to clearly communicate our value proposition: outcomes data, measurement-based care, in-network access, and patient experience
    • Collaborate with providers to understand their patient needs and align Octave's services accordingly
    • Gather provider feedback and share insights with internal teams to improve services and messaging
  • Pipeline Management
    • Maintain an organized pipeline and track all outreach in CRM, updating activity within 48 hours
    • Partner with the marketing team to create repeatable, scalable processes for referrals
    • Leverage AI tools as a core part of daily work (drafting, research, iteration) to improve efficiency, quality, and decision-making

Required Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with confidence presenting virtually
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for behavioral health and expanding access to quality care
  • Comfort using AI tools in day-to-day workflows, with a willingness to continuously rethink and improve how work gets done
  • Curiosity and openness to experimenting with new tools and approaches; prior experience with AI tools is a plus
  • Deep understanding of the behavioral health landscape preferred
  • Availability to work core business hours of 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM PST on at least three weekdays (Monday through Friday), with flexibility in scheduling

Education & Experience 

  • 2-4 years in behavioral health outreach, business development, or healthcare-related sales or support role
  • Experience engaging healthcare providers or medical office staff
  • Proven ability to manage a pipeline, meet activity targets, and work in a CRM (HubSpot or Salesforce)

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
  • Must be able to frequently communicate with others through virtual meeting applications such as Zoom and Google Meet. 
  • Must be able to observe and communicate  information on company provided laptop. 
  • Move up to 10 pounds on occasion. 

Compensation, Equity & Incentives

Base Salary Range Octave is committed to pay equity and transparency. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location/ zone. Final pay within the posted range will be decided based on a combination of job-related factors, including education, training, experience, and market demands.

  • GEO 1: $25.34 - $28.75 ( All states not in Geo 2 or Geo 3)
  • GEO 2: $27.88 - $31.63 (CO, HI, MD, RI)
  • GEO 3: $29.13 - $31.11 (AK, CA, CT, MA, NJ, NY, WA)

Variable Compensation & Equity

  • Performance Bonus & Equity Awards: This role is not currently eligible for bonus incentives or equity awards.
  • Commission Eligibility: This position is not eligible for commission incentives.
  • Remote Work Stipend: This role is not eligible for an equipment reimbursement.
  • Internet & Phone Reimbursement: This position does not include reimbursement for internet or mobile phone expenses.
