Senior CRM Marketing Manager

We’re looking for a highly commercial Senior Marketing Manager to help us lead how we retain and activate our fast-growing customer base. You’ll report to the Head of Marketing and own our CRM and lifecycle strategy, with a focus on revenue impact. You’ll oversee the strategy, design and delivery of campaigns for customers who’ve already taken their first step with us – helping them stay engaged, get more value and explore everything Octopus has to offer, from execution-only investing to full financial planning and mortgage advice. 

You’ll bring a strong mix of strategic thinking, commercial obsession and a deep understanding of what makes customers tick. You should also feel confident rolling up your sleeves because everyone in our team, regardless of level and experience, is a doer.

What you’ll do

  • Own the end-to-end customer retention and CRM strategy – and be accountable for the revenue it drives
  • Build a lifecycle marketing performance engine from scratch 
  • Set the vision for leveraging data to deliver a personalised customer experience, working closely with the Data team to deliver
  • Identify untapped opportunities across our customer and product segments and move fast to unlock them
  • Manage and develop a high-performing CRM team – including campaign managers and CRM ops managers
  • Set clear goals and measurement plans for every initiative, analysing performance and identifying opportunities to improve
  • Drive innovation by scouting, evaluating and adopting emerging CRM trends, technologies and tools to ensure our lifecycle programs stay cutting-edge and deliver maximum impact
  • Regularly report on the customer database health to the leadership team

What you’ll bring

  • 8+ years of experience in CRM, lifecycle marketing or customer growth – with a strong bias for performance, testing and revenue impact 
  • Experience in commercially driven B2C businesses
  • A track record of delivering measurable improvements in retention, conversion and customer lifetime value
  • Deep understanding of CRM tools (we use Customer.io), segmentation, customer data and personalisation best practices
  • Knowledge of AI and emerging technologies shaping the future of CRM, with the mindset to leverage these innovations for growth and optimisation
  • Comfortable owning the numbers – you know what good looks like, can brief a data team clearly, and aren’t afraid to challenge the insight if it doesn’t stack up
  • Commercial mindset – focused on results, comfortable with KPIs, and confident building business case

In return for your contribution, we offer a base salary of £75,000 - £85,000 DOE + benefits.

Flexible working
We currently operate a hybrid model which is a mix of office and remote. You'll have the option of working from home 2 days per week (Monday and Friday) with the remainder from our central London office in Holborn.
