We’re looking for a Senior Front End Engineer to help us build the products needed to transform millions of lives. This is an ideal opportunity for a passionate technologist who wants to further their career and make a positive impact.

Our development teams are split into three pillars: focusing on our planning tool, investment toolings, and back-office tooling. Each pillar contains two product squads.

As a Senior Front End Engineer, responsibilities would include owning delivery of features; ensuring code quality and best practices are met; and mentoring and pairing with junior and mid-level engineers.

Our frontend stack is built on React with Typescript, using MUI as a base for our design system. The backend team provides our API endpoints, written in Go.

We are looking for pragmatists who can work with the existing platform and front end teams, collaborating closely with tech leads, design, backend engineers and product managers.

As the company scales, there will be opportunities in technical architecture and strategy. The role has the potential to evolve into a Tech Lead for the right candidate as the team grows.

As a Senior Engineer, your day will involve:

  • Writing, testing and deploying great software
  • Collaborating with the tech leads and other Senior Engineers on deciding future technologies and processes
  • Working with modern and new technologies and frameworks
  • Working in an Agile team
  • Comfortable working on large features and breaking them down into smaller technical tasks
  • Building relationships with product and design and collaborating with backend engineers
  • Conducting code reviews and pairing with junior colleagues #li-hybrid

What we look for

  • Senior experience as a software engineer working on production systems in a commercial environment
  • Strong TypeScript skills
  • Extensive React experience
  • Experience working in a Scrum/Agile team
  • Experience with RESTful services

Nice to have

  • NodeJs
  • Design libraries such as Storybook and MUI

The interview process

Our interview process typically includes: 

  • An intro call with our talent team
  • A 90min technical interview with the team
  • A 30min interview with our CTO

We’ll keep it simple and respectful of your time, and you’ll meet the people you’ll actually work with. Our average process takes around four weeks but we’ll always work around your availability.

In return we offer a base salary of £75,000 to £85,000 DOE + bonus + benefits
