Role

The Senior Business Analyst reports to the COO of Sky Road and is responsible for independently managing of assigned client implementations, post-implementation client projects and workstreams, pre-sales opportunities, and Sky Road product roadmap initiatives. The Senior Business Analyst works closely with Sky Road management, clients, and third-parties to ensure successful delivery of each implementation and client project. This senior professional will engage directly with clients to understand business requirements, must be a strong communicator, and will liaise between Sky Road management, technology teams, and the client business users. Candidates should have meticulous attention to detail, strong communications skills and be highly organized individuals.

Key Responsibilities

Client Onboardings

  • Client Requirements: Lead the discovery phase of a client engagement to understand, document, and iterate on client requirements. Requirements should map to current product capabilities, future product enhancements and the data required to successfully deliver the agreed upon functionality.
  • Implementation planning: Develop professional client-facing implementation plans based on client needs factoring in the current functionality and roadmap of the product. Understand the scope of features and functionality as well as timelines for all aspects of delivery. Work closely with Sky Road management and engineering to prioritize the development required for client implementations.
  • Project Management: Project manage the implementation plan and post-implementation phase, lead weekly client status meetings, organize and lead calls with clients and external stakeholders, and communicate effectively with Sky Road management and the client regarding timelines, dependencies, milestones and deliverables.
  • Quality Assurance: Help Sky Road management execute on implementation testing plans in advance of go-live dates and related to product releases to ensure accuracy and a proper client experience.

Client Management

  • Cross-Functional Communication: As a senior stakeholder in the client onboarding and implementation process, it is important to communicate effectively both internally and externally with clients and client partners, such as Fund Administrators and Market Data vendors.
  • Market Understanding: Develop a deep understanding of client needs in private credit, BSL, and HY to inform product development.
  • Client Interaction: Engage directly with key clients to gather requirements, suggest implementation milestones, discuss systems capabilities and best practices that enhance the client experience and the value proposition.

Required Qualifications

  • Extensive experience with financial or credit market systems and their implementation.
  • Proven track record in managing client projects and implementations.
  • Excellent documentation and organizational skills.
  • Strong data analysis skills. Must possess the ability to understand, logically summarize, and present data analysis findings to internal team members. 
  • Financial Data Domain expertise. Experience with core financial data domains including issuers, instruments, industries, ratings, and pricing.
  • Keen attention to details.
  • Strong Excel skills. Must possess the ability to quickly join, pivot, and summarize data.

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior knowledge of loans, CLOs and private credit markets.
  • Understanding of Order Management, Portfolio Management, Compliance and Security Master systems
  • Experience managing projects and system implementations

Base Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 (This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus)

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  1. Project Management: Develop skills and knowledge to independently manage an implementation from start to finish.
  2. Solutions engineering: Develop market and product knowledge, to allow you to formulate product solutions and suggestions to Sky Road management and communicate the same to clients.
  3. Data analysis: Ability to understand expected and unexpected client data to identify potential challenges and opportunities and verify the accuracy and applicability of the Sky Road calculations and analytics.
