Role
We are looking for an Editorial Operations Associate who can support news monitoring coverage across our APAC, EMEA and Americas products. We are rapidly growing our team in Pakistan, with a new office opening in the coming months and lots of room for growth. You'll have the opportunity to be a part of a fast-paced, New York-headquartered global organization working with experienced financial journalists, analysts, and lawyers.
The Editorial Operations Associate will primarily be responsible for monitoring the feed of press releases, company announcements, SEC filings, and other public documents. The ideal candidate will have strong news judgment and the ability to understand complex financial and legal topics including private credit, leveraged loans, high yield bonds, bankruptcy/restructuring, and regulatory actions among others.
Responsibilities
- Monitor press and feeds for key developments and topical updates to ensure Octus is the first to unearth critical and/or market-moving information for our subscribers
- Provide crossover support between regions in order to achieve around-the-clock and around-the-globe coverage. Support the Americas, APAC, and EMEA regions.
- Alert coverage teams to key developments on priority names
- Work with Staff Writers, Editorial Operations, and others to improve content workflow and coverage tracking
- Assist with testing and suggesting improvements to internal tools to improve daily workflows
- Support a team of experienced journalists, financial analysts and lawyers to help shape content
- Assist with data editorialization and select content production as necessary
Requirements
- Adaptive and collaborative team player
- Ability to work accurately at speed and under tight deadlines
- Excellent written English and communication skills
- Knowledge of financial markets, with a preference for knowledge of leveraged loans, high yield markets and bankruptcy/restructurings
- Experience with AI tools, Excel, SQL, PowerBI, Monday.com, and/or other project management programs a plus
- Ability to work core hours from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm PKT, with additional flexibility required for cross-region support.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country where the position is located
