Role

The ESMA (European Securities and Markets Authority) team within Octus is seeking a Data Analyst to join the Pakistan office. This is an exciting opportunity to assist in driving growth in the firm’s regulatory data reporting service for the world’s leading investment managers. You’ll be part of an entrepreneurial team with direct access to management to impact and drive the direction of both product and data development. The ESMA team is seeking a strategic and mission-focused individual to enhance our industry-leading approach to Regulatory Reporting data.

The Data Analyst will be responsible for managing inflows of client data and our growing database of issuers, loans and deal sites, ensuring we establish the correct relationships and identify assets correctly. This will involve accurate database management, issuer research, maintenance of contract and KYC records and collaboration between internal teams and external clients. You will use excellent communication skills to liaise both internally and externally and be a product champion for the ESMA team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inflows of client data and maintain an accurate database of issuers, loans and deal sites
  • Carry out issuer research to establish the correct relationships and identify assets correctly
  • Act as the product’s KYC point person, keeping client and contract records accurate and up to date
  • Work with the Product team to manage workflows, contract execution and invoicing
  • Develop mechanisms to simplify the centralisation of data collection and the integration of those metrics into the ESMA product
  • Act as a champion for our client base, understanding their needs and requirements
  • Educate client relationships as an ESMA Article 7 framework expert

Requirements:

  • Fixed income operational experience
  • Knowledge of broader financial markets
  • Experience with leveraged loans is an advantage, but not required
  • The ability to be a self-starter, independent thinker and collaborative team player
  • Strong organisational skills; you thrive on being a diligent multi-tasker
