As Technical Lead, you’ll guide the technical direction of a cross-functional team delivering user-facing digital services. You’ll work hands-on across React and Ruby on Rails while providing technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and supporting the team in delivering reliable, maintainable features on a predictable cadence. You’ll collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering partners to break down complex work, align the team on priorities, and ensure the codebase evolves in a scalable, consistent way.
What you'll be doing:
You’ll lead the implementation of new features and technical improvements across the frontend and backend, provide architectural guidance, and set engineering standards for the team. You’ll help plan and decompose work, review code, support debugging and production issue resolution, and guide the team toward sound technical decisions. You’ll partner with product management to clarify requirements, manage technical debt, and ensure the team moves efficiently through sprint cycles while maintaining high-quality engineering practices.
What you’ll bring:
- 7+ years of full-stack engineering experience, including strong expertise with React and Ruby on Rails
- Experience leading technical decision-making and guiding architecture in modern web applications
- Ability to mentor engineers, provide constructive code reviews, and raise engineering quality
- Strong understanding of API design, frontend–backend integration patterns, and performance considerations
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
- Familiarity with CI/CD workflows, testing frameworks, and secure coding practices
- Ability to break down complex technical work into clear, actionable tasks for the team
- Strong communication skills and comfort partnering closely with product and design
- Experience troubleshooting issues across the stack and managing tradeoffs in a delivery-focused environment
- Experience operating in Agile development environments
- Performs other related duties as assigned

Compensation:
At Wilcore, it’s important each employee is compensated competitively and fairly. In alignment with state legal requirements. A range for the included position is listed below. Be advised, actual offer details are determined by job category, job location, and candidate skill level.
United States Wage Range: $120,000 – $165,000
