ETL Developer

We're looking for an ETL Developer to join our team, building and maintaining the data pipelines that connect legacy and cloud systems in a secure federal health data environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design, build, and maintain enterprise ETL/ELT pipelines supporting clinical and operational health datasets across the Military Health System
- Develop and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and delivery workflows using tools such as Talend, AWS Glue, or Apache Airflow
- Implement automated data quality validation, schema enforcement, and governance practices across pipelines
- Troubleshoot data processing issues, performance bottlenecks, and integration defects across environments
- Develop reusable pipeline components and automation scripts to improve scalability and maintainability
- Collaborate with platform and DevSecOps teams to integrate pipelines into CI/CD workflows and automated testing frameworks
- Support data interoperability with enterprise healthcare data standards including FHIR, HL7, and OMOP/CDM
What you’ll bring:
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines in enterprise data environments
- Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Talend, AWS Glue, or Airflow
- Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages for data transformation and automation
- Experience working in AWS GovCloud or similar federal cloud environments is a plus
- Familiarity with healthcare or regulated data environments and associated compliance requirements is a plus
- Understanding of data modeling, schema management, and performance optimization
- Thrives in a remote, collaborative Agile environment and genuinely enjoys working closely with a cross-functional team
- Communicates clearly and openly, whether documenting pipeline logic or troubleshooting with platform engineers
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Compensation:
At Oddball, it’s important each employee is compensated competitively and fairly. In alignment with state legal requirements. A range for the included position is listed below. Be advised, actual offer details are determined by job category, job location, and candidate skill level.
United States Wage Range: $90,000 – $130,000
