About the Job

 

We are seeking a highly experienced, hands-on, and detail-oriented controller based in the Philippines to join our international finance team. This role is critical in managing our accounting operations, ensuring US GAAP compliance, supporting our global sales teams, and enabling key financial decision-making across the organization.

 

Duties and responsibilities

 

  • Accounting Leadership: Oversee all Philippines accounting operations including general ledger, month-end close, AP, AR, and intercompany transactions.
  • Sales Support: Customer on-boarding, invoicing, and leading collections team.
  • US GAAP Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in full compliance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP).
  • System Oversight: Manage financial processes within NetSuite ERP system, including configuration, reporting, and process improvements.
  • KPI Tracking: Develop, maintain, and present financial and accounting operational KPIs to support data-driven business decisions and improve overall accounting and financial operations
  • Internal Controls: Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial accuracy.
  • Audit Coordination: Lead annual Philippines audits with external auditors, ensuring compliance and timely completion. Assist with annual audits in other jurisdictions.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with FP&A, operations, and business unit leaders in the US to provide financial insights and recommendations.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in financial workflows and system automation, especially leveraging NetSuite capabilities.
  • Cash Flow Management: Support cash forecasting, expense management, and budgeting processes.

 

Qualifications

 

  • 10+ years of accounting and finance experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or controller-level role.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience preparing financial statements under US standards.
  • Strong hands-on experience with systems including NetSuite, Salesforce, and more.
  • Capable of building KPI reports in these systems to monitor operations.
  • Strong analytical skills, developing KPIs that show insights of business operations, developing actionable initiatives.
  • Experience managing or contributing to operations in a technology and SaaS business.
  • Prior work experience in finance and accounting to business operations with revenues of $100M+.
  • Proven success in a US-based business environment, working across time zones.
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial and operational KPIs and how the impact business strategy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present to executives and comfortable communicating with customers
  • High attention to detail, proactive and growth mindset, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Background in high-growth, fast pace, or private equity-backed companies highly preferred.

 

Working conditions

This role is a full-time salaried position. Work hours for this position are flexible and will be performed from a home office.
