Sales Manager, Acquisition (@Hybrid, Bellevue)
OfferUp is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to grow OfferUp Business. This role is pivotal in defining our offering for sellers across the country and creating a significant book of satisfied customers.
You should be able to lead and motivate a sales team to achieve specific team quotas and input goals. You will communicate progress, performance updates, and forecasts to leadership, as well as take part in quota-setting, quarterly planning sessions, and monthly business reviews.

- Execute a scalable sales process/framework
- While always placing the customer first, lead the team to Drive Results by executing daily, weekly, and monthly targets in support of operating objectives
- Support development of business deal reviews and report on them monthly
- Lead, inspire and coach a growing inside sales organization, comprised of 8-10 Account Executives focused on customer acquisition
- Hire and develop Account Executives and possibly leaders to support continued aggressive growth
- Understand and mechanize the inputs and outputs of the business
- Constantly strive to increase the team around talent, execution, process design, goals, and incentives
- Partner with Sales Operations, Product, and Marketing to test, measure, and execute acquisition ideas
- Take an ownership role in the continued build-out and documentation of infrastructure and process of acquiring and on-boarding Verified Dealers and Businesses, balancing strong and standard execution with Simplification.
- Present results in weekly and monthly Business Review meetings to key internal stakeholders and executives
- Take second voice calls, approve quotes, and occasionally lead sales calls and prospecting efforts for your team.
You’ll thrive in this role if you have:
- 5+ years sales management and/or operations experience, including front line or second level leadership roles
- Extensive experience with Salesforce or comparable CRM
- In-depth understanding of the sales process from prospecting to close
- Strong team management, analytical, and organizational skills
- Problem-solving mindset
- Track record of hiring and developing a team
- Exceptional and effective verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, on multiple projects
- Ability to lead a team through change management and adapt quickly in ambiguous situations
Helpful, but not required
- Retail Sales, Motors Sales, Advertising Sales, SMB, Startup experience
- Ability to prioritize and demonstrate relentless discipline in achieving goals
- Proven ability to influence others
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves
- Expert use of Google Suite, CRMs (e.g., Salesforce.com), and other systems
- Knowledge of Go to Market Strategies
Compensation Range: Base Salary: $117,400 + variable bonus plan
OfferUp offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. Individual salaries within our ranges are determined through a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. All roles will receive equity in OfferUp as part of their compensation, the amount of equity varying depending on the individual’s level and experience.
This role is eligible to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization (commission). The commission amount will be allocated based on the OfferUp Sales Commission Plan as well as an individual’s performance, metrics, and economic performance of the company and is not a guaranteed part of an individual’s compensation.
In addition to our compensation package, this role is eligible to enroll in health insurance, healthcare savings and spending accounts, retirement savings benefits (401(k) plan with match), basic and voluntary life insurance, disability benefits, and paid time off for sick leave, family and/or medical leave, vacation, and 12 company holidays. In regard to vacation time, full-time, non-exempt employees will receive 160 hours of paid vacation per year (pro-rated if they start on a date other than January 1). Each year, full-time, non-exempt employees may carry over a balance of 40 hours of vacation time to the following year. In regard to sick time, all full-time employees (exempt and non-exempt) will be granted 12 days (96 hours) of sick time per year (pro-rated if they start a date other than January 1).
