About the Role
As an Account Supervisor at Ogilvy, you are more than just a point of contact; you are a pivotal partner in our clients' journey and a cornerstone of our agency's success. You will passionately and professionally represent Ogilvy, serving as the trusted advisor for our mid-level clients. Collaborating closely with account leadership, you'll be instrumental in driving operational discipline, ensuring delivery excellence, accelerating speed to market, optimizing resources, and meticulously managing profitability across your assigned accounts.

Our Account Supervisors are highly organized, accountable leaders capable of cultivating strong relationships and strategically leveraging the diverse expertise across all of Ogilvy’s capabilities. Your role extends beyond fulfilling immediate requests; you will add significant value by rigorously interrogating every client brief and assignment, striving to uncover and solve their broader business challenges. What You’ll Do
- Client & Team Orchestration: Serve as the primary day-to-day project contact, seamlessly connecting clients, creative teams, and other agency partners to ensure alignment and smooth execution.
- Strategic Project Management: Skillfully manage client objectives, expectations, and timelines, ensuring clear and timely communication of all changes and directions to the internal team members.
- Brief Development & Strategy: Work integrally with all internal stakeholders to facilitate the development of insightful strategies and compelling briefs that consistently lead to impactful, on-strategy creative work.
- Advocacy & Quality Assurance: Act as a crucial influencer on the efficiency and quality of deliverables, passionately advocating for both the agency’s vision and the client’s best interests.
- Driving Progress & Results: Mobilize and inspire integrated teams, fostering forward progress, decisive action, and measurable results.
- Effective Presentation: Masterfully present work from a delivery standpoint, articulating the value and strategic intent behind every output.
- Resource & Financial Stewardship: Develop a deep understanding of staffing and scoping requirements, taking full ownership of client budgets to manage costs, deliverables, and resource allocation effectively.
- Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify potential project risks and adeptly develop robust contingency plans to ensure project continuity and success.
- Mentorship & Team Development: Serve as a mentor, coach, and/or direct manager to junior team members, actively supporting their professional growth and development within the agency.
- Cultivating Team Effectiveness: Champion the development and maintenance of high levels of team effectiveness, fostering trust, open communication, collaboration, productivity, diversity, and engagement.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Demonstrate a profound understanding and respect for each department’s unique role in delivering outstanding work and actively build strong, collaborative relationships across the agency.
What You’ll Need
- Experience & Expertise: 4+ years of relevant, client-facing industry experience, with a proven track record in managing the "making" and delivery of exceptional work.
- Diverse Account Background: Ideally, a breadth of experience across several different accounts, delivering programs in at least three distinct capabilities (e.g., B2C, B2B, retail, CPG, digital, tech, PR & influence).
- Ogilvy Acumen: Demonstrable knowledge of client and agency operations, coupled with a solid working understanding of Ogilvy’s comprehensive capabilities.
- Strategic Prowess: A strong background in the strategy and development of programs, with the ability to consistently provide strategic and solid thinking to clients.
- Growth Mindset: A curious and lifelong learner, eager to adapt and evolve in a dynamic industry.
- Negotiation Skills: Proven expertise in negotiation, capable of achieving mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Client Relationship Building: Documented experience in forming strong and lasting client relationships at lower-to-mid-levels, fostering trust and partnership.
- Execution Excellence: Demonstrated capability to deliver projects on budget and on time, showcasing strong organizational and execution skills.
- Commercial & Financial Savvy: Developing commercial abilities and strong business and financial acumen, contributing to profitable account management.
- Agency Process Integration: A nuanced understanding of the agency’s internal processes and how they strategically align with and impact the client’s business objectives.
- Collaborative Spirit: Possesses strong internal relationships, particularly with creative teams, fostering a harmonious and productive working environment.

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
Salary Range
$65,000 - $115,000 CAD
