The Opportunity

We are looking for an Account Manager to join us on a 12 month FTC. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to lead the delivery of diverse and cutting edge projects for leading clients. You will manage a stimulating portfolio, split 50/50 across Consumer Health  (infant nutrition) and Pharma (focused on dermatology). These are stable, well-managed accounts with strong client relationships, providing an ideal environment for strategic growth and creative freedom.

This unique account mix means you’ll be at the forefront of patient activation and disease awareness campaigns, deploying innovative strategies across creative, social media, digital, and influencer channels. If you thrive in a multidisciplinary environment, excel at building strong client relationships, and are passionate about mentoring talent and driving business growth, we want to hear from you.

What you'll be doing:

  • Strategic Account Leadership: Take ownership of key accounts, guiding the delivery of impactful campaigns from conception to completion across our infant nutrition and dermatology brands.
  • Client Partnership: Develop and implement strategic recommendations, providing expert counsel and challenging clients thoughtfully to elevate campaign effectiveness.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong, trusted client relationships, proactively identifying opportunities and ensuring seamless communication.
  • Commercial Acumen: Drive account profitability through astute financial management, including accurate estimating, billing, and budgetary control.
  • Team Development: Provide line management and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their professional growth and ensuring an efficient working environment.
  • Business Development: Actively identify and pursue opportunities for existing account growth, and contribute to exciting new business pitches.
  • Integrated Campaign Delivery: Collaborate seamlessly with internal teams (creative, digital, social, PR, medical education, strategy) to deliver campaigns.

What you'll bring:

  • Significant Healthcare Comms Experience: You'll bring extensive experience already gained as a Senior Account Executive or recently promoted Account Manager within a healthcare communications agency, with a strong focus on commercial pharma clients.
  • Multi-Channel Proficiency: Ability to manage and deliver campaigns incorporating creative, social media, digital, and influencer strategies.
  • Strategic & Commercial Acumen: A strong understanding of market dynamics, with the ability to develop strategic recommendations and manage account profitability.
  • Exceptional Client Leadership: Outstanding relationship management skills, including anticipating client needs and confidently providing strategic counsel.
  • Creative Understanding: A solid grasp of the creative process, with practical experience in evaluating creative outputs, providing insightful feedback, and translating client needs into compelling briefs.
  • Project & Team Leadership: A proven track record of successfully leading complex projects from inception to completion, and experience in line management and mentoring.
  • Business Growth Mindset: A proactive and innovative approach to identifying new business opportunities and driving account growth.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Experience working effectively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, impactful campaigns.
