(Associate) Account Director

The key mission for this role is for an experienced, ambitious client servicing suit specifically with knowledge and understanding in customer experience, from strategy to execution in channels, who can manage day-to-day client portfolio and projects and drive organic growth within this portfolio.
The right fit for this role would be someone with the perfect mix of go-to-client and business development capabilities on one-hand and the strategic capability to advise and help clients set a clear strategy and vision for their digital and experience objectives and road-map on the other hand.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DELIVERABLES
- To drive client strategy across a portfolio of accounts and advise clients on how to achieve their business goals in the most effective manner by utilizing their various marketing channels most efficiently, advising on the interplay and integration between all digital channels and ensuring that advice is delivered with confidence and professionally
- To manage a portfolio of projects, taking responsibility for growing revenue as well as the day-to-day management of these accounts
- Elevate client strategy to performance, data-driven and CRM activated strategy, advising on the right channels, the role for each and identifying opportunity for business growth in activating these channels correctly to deliver to the strategy
- To build and sustain strong and long-lasting relationships with client-side management
- Manage resources, budgets, and timelines for accounts accurately and efficiently
- Work to ensure the delivery of outstanding services and deliverables in order to retain and grow all client accounts, taking responsibility for the quality of work carried out by team members and ensuring the agency has the correct level of skills to grow your accounts, timely delivery around deadlines and managing priorities to deliver on clients goals and objectives
- Orchestrate the internal strategy and creative teams to deliver the necessary research, creative, data, etc. to enable execution of campaigns and projects
- Work closely with our global centers of excellence for delivery of client solutions to ensure timely and quality delivery
- Become an active participant in the wider regional Ogilvy One digital community, and beyond, through knowledge sharing, presenting work, becoming a go-to advisor, etc.
- Guide & inspire the agency teams to learn new skill sets and help them evolve.
PROFESSIONAL & TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience in a similar role within a client services, planning or project management team within the CX sector from strategy to channel implementation
- A balanced understanding of digital channels and media from web to social, mobile, SEO, etc. including data and analytics
- Past experience achieving significant improvements in results by devising and implementing innovative campaign strategies and ideas
- Superior communication, organizational, and project management skills
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and the overall delivery of multiple projects in a fast paced and deadline driven environment
- Ability to work effectively and proactively within a team setting
- Fluency in both written & spoken English and ideally Arabic
