The Role: 

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, developing and executing PR strategies, and building strong relationships with clients and internal teams.  

The ideal candidate will be someone who champions diverse thinking and approach, has a passion for creativity and innovation, and is committed to delivering results for clients. 

As an experienced Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing budgets, timelines, and deliverables, and ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and within budget. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Manage a portfolio of client accounts, including developing and executing PR strategies, managing budgets and timelines, and ensuring client satisfaction 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as their day-to-day point of contact and anticipating their needs 
  • Media relations, selling in to secure coverage for your brands in a broad range of publications 
  • Develop and deliver presentations and reports to clients, including campaign performance updates, new business proposals, and strategic recommendations 
  • Take an active role in presenting PR ideas and successes to cross marketing agency team, providing a POV on what works for earned (with the support of senior Ogilvy team) 
  • Monitor and analyse campaign performance, using data to inform decision-making and optimise campaign effectiveness 
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring profitability of client accounts 
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies, sharing insights and recommendations with clients and internal teams 
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, providing guidance and support as needed 
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes and procedures, including timesheets, invoicing, and project management tools 

 

A Bit About You 

  • Interest and/or experience working in culture
     
     
  • Proven experience working on campaigns and events with high profile talent, press and influencers  
  • Strong media contacts and a solid understanding of the UK media landscape – someone that can deliver coverage and successful brand storytelling in a cluttered and noisy space 
  • Tapped into culture and able to help advise clients on moments, partnerships, and reactive opportunities  
  • Proven track record of managing complex campaigns, developing strategic plans, and delivering results for clients 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated experience in building consistently productive relationships with clients and internal teams 
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and have strong project management skills 
  • Able to think creatively and bring new ideas to the table that will help drive client success 
  • Experience working with influencers in an earned, paid, and owned capacity is desired   
  • Demonstrates ability for creative problem solving in approaching every task – whether that’s identifying a way to improve the internal process or co-creating an inspiring way to sell in the work. Able to consider different angles on a brief – a non-linear thinker 
  • Experience in a fast-paced agency environment working on both global and local projects is preferred
