About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Institutional Account Manager to join our growing US operations at OKX. This role is integral to supporting the growth of our US business by managing and nurturing relationships with high-value institutional clients. The Institutional Account Manager will work closely with the business development team to understand client needs, but will primarily be responsible for account management, ensuring that client goals are met through tailored engagement and strategic support.
 

What You’ll Be Doing

The primary role of the Institutional Account Manager will be to manage and grow key institutional accounts while ensuring the successful delivery of OKX’s offerings to meet client objectives. You will liaise with the business development team to stay aligned on client needs but will focus on providing long-term support, fostering relationships, and driving account growth through strategic initiatives.
  • Account Growth & Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key institutional clients. Identify opportunities for expansion within existing accounts, ensuring that client needs are met and fostering growth through personalized support and engagement.
  • Strategic Liaison with Business Development: While not directly part of the business development team, collaborate closely with them to understand new client prospects, market trends, and product offerings. Ensure that the institutional accounts’ evolving needs are aligned with business development efforts.
  • Client Solutions & Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for institutional clients, coordinating with internal teams (product, governance, global sales) to ensure the seamless delivery of solutions that meet client goals and OKX’s business objectives.
  • Reporting & Performance Tracking: Regularly report on account health, progress, and key initiatives. Track KPIs such as account satisfaction, retention, and overall revenue growth.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various internal teams, including business development, product, global sales, and risk, to ensure that client needs are fully understood and addressed.
  • Client-Focused Problem Solving: Anticipate client needs and proactively offer solutions that drive satisfaction and account growth.
 

What We Look For In You

  • 4+ years managing large institutional or enterprise accounts, preferably in fintech, financial services, or crypto.
  • Strong understanding of crypto products, trading workflows, and U.S. capital market dynamics.
  • Proven track record identifying growth opportunities, shaping go-to-market strategies, and executing plans to win new business.
  • Demonstrated success working with Product, Sales, Risk, and Compliance teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; able to build rapport at C-suite levels and negotiate complex agreements.
  • Comfortable analyzing account metrics, spotting trends, and developing data-driven growth strategies.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple high-value accounts simultaneously.
  • Highly driven, proactive, and able to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

  • The salary range for this position is $178,000 - $214,000
  • The salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. In addition to the salary, a performance bonus and long-term incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
