About the Team:
The Compliance function at OKX is responsible for the overall compliance culture at the company. We’re a team of risk-minded problem solvers who advise the business on the company’s regulatory obligations and enterprise risk.
The Compliance function at OKX is pivotal in maintaining the company's integrity and trustworthiness. We are a team of risk-minded problem solvers who advise the business on regulatory obligations and compliance risks. Operating under a global/local Compliance model, our Central Compliance experts support in-country Compliance Officers to ensure robust and consistent programs that meet both local regulatory requirements and internal global standards.
Role Overview:
The Senior Manager, Compliance Issue Management will lead the global second-line Compliance Issue Management function with a high performing team. This role is responsible for overseeing the firm’s compliance issue lifecycle management across all jurisdictions and lines of business. This role will be instrumental in building out the team, designing and embedding scalable frameworks, and ensuring timely identification, escalation, remediation, and closure of compliance issues in alignment with regulatory expectations and internal risk governance.
Responsibilities:

Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing team, across multiple jurisdictions.

Define and execute the strategic direction of the Global Issue Management function, including tooling optimization, processes, and cross-functional engagement.

Champion a culture of proactive issue identification, transparent escalation, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Design, implement, and maintain a robust and scalable issue management framework aligned to regulatory obligations, risks, controls and policies across all jurisdictions and products.

Build an issue management intake and tracking process, most likely in Jira.

Serve as the main point of contact for the end-to-end lifecycle of compliance-related issues. This includes intake of identified issues, documentation within dedicated software, collaborative action plan development, and overseeing closure validation.

Monitor aging and overdue issues, ensuring timely resolution or escalation, and driving accountability across stakeholder groups.

Act as a trusted liaison with Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit, Legal, Product & Engineering and other key control functions to ensure alignment and effective collaboration on issue resolution

Develop and maintain issue and control dashboards, metrics, and reports that provide clear visibility for senior stakeholders.

Provide governance reporting to senior management, the board, and regulators on key compliance issues, emerging trends, and associated remediation progress.
Requirements:
-
7+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, audit, or a related governance role within financial services or fintech.

3+ years of team leadership experience in a global organization.

Significant hands-on experience with control and issue management tools such as Workiva, Archer, ServiceNow GRC, or similar platforms for issue tracking. Strong affinity for tool solution design, build-out, and enhancement.

Deep understanding of compliance risk management principles, diverse regulatory expectations, and enterprise governance models.

Excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to engage with senior leadership.

Exceptional analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex issues into clear, actionable insights.

Strong project and change management capabilities, especially in dynamic, high-growth, or global environments.
Nice-to-Have Requirements:

Experience in the crypto or digital assets sector, with familiarity around the regulatory landscape for virtual asset service providers (VASPs).

Track record of successfully implementing cross-functional remediation programs, including those involving technology and product-driven solutions.

The salary range for this position is $171,000- $257,000

The salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. In addition to the salary, a performance bonus and long-term incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
