Senior Manager, Platform & Infrastructure Audit (Data Engineering & Analytics SME)
San Jose, California, United States
Who We Are
About the Opportunity
OKX is undertaking a significant global team buildout, and we are looking for an experienced Manager or Senior Manager to join our Platform & Infrastructure Audit team. This is a unique opportunity for a subject matter expert in Data Engineering and Analytics to execute critical assurance projects that directly impact the data integrity of our global operations. As a senior individual contributor, you will assess the architecture of our data environment and validate the quality and integrity of data as it flows through our systems.
We're looking for a hands-on, deeply technical auditor who is a recognized subject matter expert in Data Engineering and Analytics. You have demonstrable experience assessing controls in complex, data-intensive environments—ideally within crypto or FinTech. You have a passion for ensuring data integrity from source to consumption and enjoy applying your skills broadly across related platform and infrastructure domains.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Serve as the subject matter expert for auditing the integrity, quality, and privacy of both on-chain and off-chain data pipelines, data models, and ETL processes.
- Leverage your deep expertise in data engineering to both lead our data integrity assurance program and contribute to a wide range of audits across infrastructure, DevOps, and AI platforms.
- Contribute to the annual risk-based audit plan by identifying emerging data integrity risks and scoping potential audit projects.
- Collaborate effectively with Data Engineering, Analytics, and business stakeholders to communicate audit findings, provide value-add recommendations, and monitor remediation plans.
- Develop and maintain expert knowledge of best practices for managing on-chain and off-chain data to ensure audit approaches remain current and effective.
What We Look For In You
- Crypto & Blockchain Acumen: Prior experience with a crypto exchange or crypto product is highly preferred. You must have a fundamental understanding of blockchain technology, including distributed ledgers, consensus mechanisms, and the lifecycle of a cryptocurrency transaction.
- Data Engineering & Analytics Auditing (SME): Deep expertise in auditing the integrity and quality of both on-chain and off-chain data, with the ability to review data models, ETL processes, and assess the architecture of a data engineering environment.
- Critical Thinking for Complex Environments: A proven capacity to analyze novel technical and control environments unique to crypto, identify intricate root causes, and propose effective, context-specific solutions.
- Data Analysis & SQL: Proficiency in using SQL for data analysis is required. Advanced SQL skills are highly desired for this role.
- Broad Expertise Across Platform & Infrastructure Domains: Demonstrable experience auditing the design and effectiveness of controls in several of the following areas:
- Infrastructure & DevOps: Auditing cloud platforms, containerization, and the security of CI/CD pipelines.
- ITGC Technical Validation: Performing hands-on tests to validate that IT controls for access and changes are implemented correctly in core systems.
- AI Model & Platform Auditing: Assessing the security and effectiveness of AI systems and the data they use.
