Senior Human Resources Business Partner
San Jose, California, United States
Who We Are
About the Opportunity
This role is a hands-on HR Business Partner supporting a fast-growing, highly regulated function at OKX. You’ll partner closely with leaders in Compliance, Risk, and Internal Audit to help scale teams, strengthen core people processes, and navigate change with sound judgment and execution.
You’ll spend most of your time advising managers on real situations—performance issues, employee relations, org changes, hiring needs—while ensuring decisions align with policy, risk expectations, and business priorities. While strategic thinking matters, success in this role depends on your ability to operate in ambiguity, move quickly, and translate HR fundamentals into action.
What You’ll Be Doing
-
Serve as the primary HR partner for Compliance and Internal Audit teams, supporting managers through day-to-day people decisions.
-
Coach managers on performance management, feedback, PIPs, and performance calibration with a practical, execution-oriented approach.
-
Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, investigations, and escalation decisions, in partnership with HR Ops and Legal.
-
Support talent planning activities such as hiring prioritization, internal mobility, and basic succession planning.
-
Partner with leaders during periods of change, including team growth, reorganizations, and leadership transitions; support clear communication and adoption.
-
Use people data (attrition, engagement, performance trends) to identify issues and recommend concrete actions.
-
Ensure consistent application of HR policies, confidentiality standards, and compliance requirements in a regulated environment.
-
Collaborate closely with Talent Acquisition, HR Ops, COEs, and Employment Legal to deliver practical outcomes—not just frameworks.
What We’re Looking For
-
6+ years of HR experience, with meaningful time spent in an HRBP, HR Generalist, or similar execution-focused role.
-
Strong foundation in HR fundamentals: employee relations, performance management, policy application, and manager coaching.
-
Comfortable working at the manager and director level; able to influence without over-indexing on theory or slides.
-
Clear, structured communicator who can get to the point and drive decisions.
-
Proven ability to balance competing priorities and manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
-
Experience working with global teams across time zones.
Nice to Have
-
Exposure to scaling organizations or teams undergoing rapid growth or change.
-
Experience in financial services, crypto, fintech, or other highly regulated industries.
-
Familiarity with people analytics and translating insights into actions.
Perks & Benefits
-
Competitive total compensation package
-
L&D programs and Education subsidy for employees' growth and development
-
Various team building programs and company events
-
Wellness and meal allowances
-
Comprehensive healthcare schemes for employees and dependents
-
More that we love to tell you along the process!
