About The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Staff Mobile Engineer to join our P2P & Fiat team, where you will own the mobile engineering for OKX's peer-to-peer trading and fiat payment experiences across multiple markets. This is a high-ownership role sitting at the intersection of mobile engineering and cross-border payments — you will work closely with compliance, legal, and regional business teams to build localised, regulation-aware payment flows for users across Southeast Asia, LATAM, MENA, and beyond.

You bring deep familiarity with P2P trading mechanics, cross-regional fiat payment integrations, and the compliance considerations that govern them. You are also fluent in AI-assisted development and bring the discipline to build, maintain, and continuously improve your own AI engineering workflows.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Own the mobile engineering for P2P trading flows — including trading channel mechanics, payment methods, and buy/sell transaction journeys end-to-end.
  • Build and maintain cross-regional fiat payment integrations — including local bank transfers, e-wallets, and third-party PSP integrations across markets such as Southeast Asia, LATAM, and MENA.
  • Ensure mobile payment flows and user data handling are compliant with local and international regulatory requirements — including KYC tiers, transaction limits, and regional compliance constraints.
  • Collaborate closely with compliance, legal, product, and regional market teams to translate local regulatory requirements into reliable, user-friendly mobile experiences.
  • Drive technical decision-making on payment architecture, articulating trade-offs clearly across speed, maintainability, and compliance.
  • Apply AI coding tools actively in your workflow — not just for code generation, but to build and maintain repeatable personal AI development workflows.
  • Mentor engineers on the team and contribute to a culture of ownership, technical rigour, and high engineering standards.

What We Look For In You

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of shipping production-quality mobile systems at scale.
  • Strong familiarity with P2P trading channels, payment methods, and buy/sell transaction flows in a consumer-facing mobile context.
  • Hands-on experience with cross-regional fiat payment integrations — local bank transfers, e-wallets, and third-party PSPs across markets such as Southeast Asia, LATAM, or MENA.
  • Working knowledge of fiat channel compliance — KYC tiers, transaction limits, and regional regulatory constraints.
  • Proficient in AI-assisted development — able to independently build and maintain personal AI engineering workflows, not just use AI tools ad hoc.
  • Strong cross-functional communication — comfortable working with compliance, legal, product, and regional market teams to align on requirements and hold the line on engineering quality.
  • Able to balance speed, quality, and compliance in a fast-paced, high-trust environment.

Nice-To-Haves

  • Mobile development experience in iOS (Swift/Objective-C) or Android (Kotlin/Java).
  • Experience integrating with specific PSPs or payment rails commonly used in Southeast Asia, LATAM, or MENA markets.
  • Background in fintech, crypto, or regulated consumer financial products.
  • Familiarity with anti-fraud mechanisms in P2P or fiat payment contexts.
  • Experience operating across multiple regulatory environments simultaneously.

Perks & Benefits

  • Competitive total compensation package
  • L&D programs and Education subsidy for employees' growth and development
  • Various team building programs and company events
  • Wellness and meal allowances
  • Comprehensive healthcare schemes for employees and dependants
  • More that we love to tell you along the process!

As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
