About The Opportunity

We are looking for a Staff Mobile Engineer to join our P2P & Fiat team, where you will own the mobile engineering for OKX's crypto fiat on/off-ramp experience across offshore and international markets. This is a high-ownership role at the intersection of mobile engineering and cross-border payments — you will build and scale the end-to-end fiat-to-crypto conversion journeys that serve users across Southeast Asia, LATAM, MENA, and beyond.

You bring hands-on experience building crypto on/off-ramp products, deep familiarity with cross-regional fiat payment integrations, and the technical discipline to own complex, multi-step transaction flows in a consumer-facing mobile product. You are also fluent in AI-assisted development and bring the rigour to build, maintain, and continuously improve your own AI engineering workflows.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Own the mobile engineering for the crypto fiat on/off-ramp experience — including quote flows, payment method selection, transaction status, and failure handling end-to-end.
  • Build and maintain cross-regional fiat payment integrations — including local bank transfers, e-wallets, and third-party PSP integrations across markets such as Southeast Asia, LATAM, and MENA.
  • Ensure mobile payment flows and user data handling are compliant with offshore crypto market requirements — including KYC tiers, transaction limits, and regional regulatory constraints.
  • Collaborate closely with compliance, legal, product, and regional market teams to translate local regulatory requirements into reliable, user-friendly mobile experiences.
  • Drive technical decision-making on payment architecture, articulating trade-offs clearly across speed, maintainability, and compliance.
  • Apply AI coding tools actively in your workflow — not just for code generation, but to build and maintain repeatable personal AI development workflows.
  • Mentor engineers on the team and contribute to a culture of ownership, technical rigour, and high engineering standards.

What We Look For In You

  • 5+ years of native iOS or Android development experience, with a track record of owning high-stakes, multi-step transaction flows in consumer-facing mobile products.
  • Hands-on experience building crypto token on/off-ramp products targeting offshore or international markets.
  • Deep familiarity with cross-regional fiat payment integrations — local bank transfers, e-wallets, and third-party PSPs across markets such as Southeast Asia, LATAM, or MENA.
  • Strong understanding of the full fiat-to-crypto conversion UX — quote flows, payment method selection, transaction status, and failure handling.
  • Aware of compliance considerations in offshore crypto markets — KYC tiers, transaction limits, and regional regulatory constraints.
  • Proficient in AI-assisted development — deep hands-on use of Claude Code, Codex, or equivalent code models in daily workflow, with the ability to independently build and maintain a personal AI development workflow including prompt engineering, toolchain integration, and agentic coding.
  • Strong cross-functional communication — comfortable working with compliance, legal, product, and regional market teams to hold the line on engineering quality.

Nice-To-Haves

  • Experience in high-growth emerging markets where fiat accessibility is a key driver of crypto adoption.
  • Experience integrating with specific PSPs or payment rails commonly used in Southeast Asia, LATAM, or MENA markets.
  • Familiarity with anti-fraud mechanisms in P2P or fiat payment contexts.
  • Experience operating across multiple regulatory environments simultaneously.
  • Background in fintech, crypto, or regulated consumer financial products.

Perks & Benefits

  • Competitive total compensation package
  • L&D programs and Education subsidy for employees' growth and development
  • Various team building programs and company events
  • Wellness and meal allowances
  • Comprehensive healthcare schemes for employees and dependants
  • More that we love to tell you along the process!

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
