Role: Freelance - In-country Copy Reviewer (Castilian and Catalan native-speaker)

Location: Spain

ROLE MISSION

We are recruiting Spanish In-country Copy Reviewers (ICR) to support our client in approving localized copy in both Castilian and Catalan.

Working in partnership with our client, the ICR will be supporting the local marketers on the client-side in reviewing localized copy for their big advertising campaigns. You will be reviewing ATL and BTL content for such media channels as TV, Radio, Social, Website, Digital display, OOH and Email.

ABOUT THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING

You will be working closely with the OLIVER Transcreation Team, the client’s local marketers, and the client’s Localization Project managers.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE

OLIVER is strongly committed to delivering the best possible international communications, and a key part of your job is to act as a brand guardian for our client and, therefore, to quality check transcreations delivered by our team of linguists. As a brand guardian, you will be responsible for providing in-country validation of customer-facing marketing content across various media channels, with the focus on consistency with the brand tone of voice, terminology, project brief and the previously approved copy. You will be able to comment on the copy provided and to suggest new directions, based on your knowledge of the brand and its guidelines (a full on-the-job training will be provided.).

You will have an exciting opportunity to liaise with various stakeholders on the client-side directly, virtually attend client briefing and wash-up calls and will need to build strong relationships with local marketers (with an option to visit them at the office from time to time, if the location allows). In order to successfully do this, you need to be a proactive self-starter with strong communication skills, who is able to keep on top of various sources of briefing.

You should also be keeping up-to-date with marketing and advertising industry trends and best practices for your market to ensure that the brand's messaging remains fresh and relevant.

Part of the job is also to support with creation and/or updating of client’s brand Tone of Voice guidelines for your market and any additional localization-related documentation.

A keen eye for detail is a must.

WHAT SKILLS WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL

  • Native and based in-market of target language (Spanish as well as Catalan)
  • Marketing or brand management/strategy background
  • Experience working with big global brands
  • Senior Copywriter / Creative Director at a reputable creative agency
  • Transcreation experience
  • Full English proficiency

The perfect candidate is both creative and business savvy, having a good understanding of marketing, strategy and brand management for big global campaigns.
