Role: Senior Strategist 

Location: Slough, England, United Kingdom (Slough 1-2 days a week)

 

ROLE MISSION

Working in partnership with our client, the Senior Strategist will help one of our global clients and some of their iconic brands transform their social and digital marketing to be more famous in culture. You will be part of our dynamic in-house Studio team, and you will have two key roles. Firstly, you will be leading the global social strategy for one of the world’s most iconic brands in sexual wellness and health, helping to make it truly meaningful in culture. Secondly, you will be developing social and digital strategies for a wide variety of home care brands in the UK and EMEA. You will have a key role to play in finding audience insights, developing smart channel thinking, and driving more engaging, effective and culturally connected work. You will be working collaboratively with clients, our creative teams and partner agencies.  You’ll also be an active contributor to the global strategy team 

THIS ROLE IS RIGHT FOR YOU IF...

If you want to take your strong social and digital strategy skills and use them to drive truly culture defining work. You’ll relish the prospect of co-leading a global social team, and being an active leader in cross agency teams and an advocate and champion of audience and cultural intelligence. Experience in FMCG or healthcare is helpful, but not essential 

You’ll be highly audience focused, on the pulse of social culture, and adept at turning data insight into creative and strategic recommendations.  

You’ll enjoy working collaboratively, and at pace with our creatives, our clients and cross agency teams.

ABOUT THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING

You’ll be joining our well established in-house Studio, Day by day you’ll be working closely with creatives, PMs and client leads in the Studio to create high performing digital campaigns and social content. In addition, you’ll be part of our growing global strategy team, reporting to the Global Executive Strategy Director.  Currently this role is flexible in terms of location, with one mandatory day at client offices. 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE

In this role, you’ll have two hats: global social lead for one of our client’s iconic brands. Here you’ll be  

  • Developing and nurturing the brand’s social strategy, so that it’s culturally resonant with all the audiences it needs to reach 
  • Developing influencer and creator strategy 
  • Identifying opportunities for groundbreaking culturally responsive creative work by unearthing fresh audience insights and trends 
  • Working closely with creatives to  
  • Sharing insights, best practice and learning with local social teams 

 The other part of your role is to lead digital and social strategy for our in-house Studio, working closely with strategists from other agencies, as well as our team. Here you’ll be 

  • Developing out digital and social strategies, considering the best way to nudge hearts, minds and sales 
  • Working in cross agency teams to ensure digital best practice 
  • Helping our clients stay culturally connected to what matters to their audiences 
  • Working with our creative teams to develop thumbstopping creative that’s perfectly designed for each platform 
  • Evaluating and optimising digital campaign performance in flight and post hoc 
  • Helping to prove the value of the work we do for our clients 
  • Sharing best practice and learning with the global strategy team 

WHAT SKILLS WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL 

The skills and personal attributes that will help you be successful 

You’ll have a great blend of analytical and creative thinking skills: able to plan campaigns and customer journeys in a methodical and data driven way, but also able to come up with insight that inspires creatives. You’ll be endlessly curious about people, trends and emerging behaviour. You’ll be plugged into social culture, and you’ll have an up to date understanding of platform best practice. 

You’ll be solution focused, getting to answers quickly and collaboratively and juggling your time effectively. You’ll be a great communicator – both verbally and in written presentations. You’ll be strongly client centric, building trusted relationships. You’ll be proactive and self-starting; the sort of person that always asks, ‘how could we do this better?’ 

Experience that will be helpful in this role 

  • Strong experience in developing social strategies across organic, paid and influencer 
  • Strong experience of using data driven social and cultural insight to inform planned and reactive content 
  • Strong leadership, and client communication experience
  • Experience of evaluating and optimising social activity and digital campaigns  
  • Experience of developing cross channel digital strategies and customer journeys 
  • Experience of working in integrated agency teams
