Role:  Project Manager

Location: Canary Wharf, England, United Kingdom (2 days week from our London office)

 

About the role:

We are looking for an experienced, efficient, calm and effective Junior Project Manager to work within our large client's team, one of our biggest UK accountsIt’s a dedicated team with an incredible skillset and experience – we do lots of super-interesting projects and for the right person there is lots to learn and the opportunity to progress, either within the team or within the wider OLIVER environment. Coming into our busy and big team as a Junior Project Manager you’ll already have great project management honed at another brilliant agency and ideally across blue chip corporate clients.  You’ll work with our resourcing team, our creatives, our client leaders and our clients to project manage our bigger creative projects.  Not all of our projects are huge, long running, high profile and multi channel – but these are the ones we need your brilliant organisational skills on to help us deliver top quality projects that run on time and on budget.  

What you will be doing:

You’ll be working hand-in-hand with our 15 strong Client Leadership team as well as our team resourcers and creative and production squadsWe are all dedicated to the client – so you’ll be working in a tight knit mini agency, delivering a wide scope of creative projects, spanning many channels, many audiences and across partner brandsYou’ll report into one of our experienced hybrid Senior Project/Account Managers and face into client teams too for key meetingsThey’ll all expect you to know your stuff – when, where, who, howWe always strive to be better, do better – so anything you can bring on that front, we’ll embrace eagerly! 

What you need to be great in this role:

  • You’ll be project managing some of our biggest creative projects where we need expert and dedicated support.  These projects are multi channel so you’ll have worked in video, social, digital display – and ideally email and print too.  
  • You’ll be creating and owning projects, estimates and master timings plans, constantly monitoring projects to ensure they are delivered to plan and everyone and all the different elements are on track.
  • You’ll own status check in’s, project burn and utilisation and resource forecasting.
  • You’ll be watching for issues that might arise, pre-empting them and escalating them up when you need to. 

Skills:

Aside from the technical skills we need for this role, we will be seeking evidence and assurance that you:

  • Have a calm and capable persona, able to respond positively and with resilience to curved balls.  You’ll see change as a challenge and embrace it 
  • Are project-financials literate – you understand the fundamentals of resourcing, utilisation, managing client budgets and running profitable projects
  • Can problem solve around challenges, tackle difficult conversations and know when to escalate in a timely manner
  • Have experience of big and high profile campaigns with multiple senior stakeholders (and the curved balls and delays that comes with that) different brands and multiple channels inc digital display, OOH, video, social, and email
  • Are AI friendly - open to learn, use and adopt AI to make our roles easier, quicker and better
  • Have the confidence, personality and persuasion skills to hold your own and push for what’s right. You’ll also have no problem asking questions, when needed to garner clarity.
  • Bring strong and positive energy to our team – we’re a team of individuals, some more extroverted or introverted than others; but what’s important is your general outlook and positivity   

Experience:

  • You’ve learnt your trade within another great creative agency – so you know how agencies work and what you need to do to manage your projects
  • You’ll be a Project Manager currently, with at least 3 years solid experience, ideally working on Financial Services brands 
  • You’ll have worked across a variety of channels before – but most importantly, video, social and digital display.  You know how they work, what to look out for and how they work together as part of a multi channel campaign
  • Ideally, you’ve worked with similar big brands in regulated industries before – so you’re familiar with the peculiarities of extended sign off and the detailed processes and approvals that come with working on one of the biggest brands in the country
