Role: Account Director

About the role:

Working as part of a dynamic team, the Account Director is accountable for the overall success of the client's business, partnering closely with their clients across all relevant brands in the process. This cross functional role is focused on driving the Studios efficiency, effectiveness, growth, innovation, adoption of new technologies (particularly Generative AI), implementation of change management projects as required and importantly, the nurturing and management of overall client stakeholder engagement. You will be the most-attuned in-market stakeholder with regard to our clients' commercial needs, brand objectives and digital & technology requirements to – proactively where possible - advise on all brand building comms and campaigns. You will therefore develop a deep understanding of your client's business, expectations, and requirements, to help advise on optimal solutions at all times. You will ensure all aspects of the Studio runs smoothly end to end from scoping and estimation, through contracting and work authorisation, resourcing, and development, all the way to acceptance, invoicing, and collections. Positioned as the key point of contact for the client in Türkiye, the Account Director is expected to represent, protect, and promote the client's services at all times. Reporting to the Business Director/Managing Partner, the specific line reports for this role will be advised.

What you will be doing:

  • Building and maintaining relationships within our client's brand teams through regular face to face contact and virtual meetings.
  • Leading the management of multiple projects, ensuring plans, budgets, progress and focus on executing deliveries is maintained at all times.
  • Being responsible for project data accuracy and daily reporting compliance.
  • Monitoring and maintaining documentation for projects including timing plans, cost estimates and burn reports.
  • Mitigating potential delivery issues and proactively resolving problems at speed.
  • Successful meeting of project deadlines and ensuring efficiency and quality of the work.
  • Ensuring adherence to creative best practices and standards, both according to the client and platform-specific guidelines, towards channel optimisation and performance.
  • Driving a culture of innovation and technology, leaning on best practice and insight from the global / Group centres of excellence at your disposal.
  • The implementation of GenAI technology to drive effective and efficient outputs throughout the Studio is a current and ongoing priority. Partnering closely with the global capability and regional operations teams to ensure successful roll out and adoption is critical.
  • Implement and manage aspects of change management throughout the Studio as required.
  • Championing digital mandatories and accessibility, with a deep understanding of modular advertising to drive project efficiencies while delivering unmissable creative assets.
  • Proactively managing scope creep and ensuring cost estimates are reflective of effort required on every project.
  • Effectively managing resource across projects – liaising with internal creatives and external suppliers where needed.
  • Understanding the importance of brands and working within brand guidelines
  • Driving a culture of measurable growth throughout the Studio (KPI based).

What you need to be great in this role:

  • Demonstrable project management experience of 8+ yrs, ideally within the FMCG industry
  • Experience with industry related innovation and technology (e.g.: GenAI).
  • You're extremely well organised, with great attention to detail.
  • You are confident in end-to-end project delivery, with the ability to run client review meetings alongside other team members
  • You cope effectively when things are up in the air and carefully manage ever shifting priorities.
  • A problem solver with an understanding of the creative industry.
  • You proactively look to make improvements in processes and make change to drive efficiencies.
  • You have experience in the implementing change management within a cross functional team along with the related aspects of governance.
  • You are a team player and genuinely care about people and build collaborative working relationships. You listen well to challenge and work with people to overcome problems in a positive way.
  • You work well under pressure, juggling multiple projects at any one time.
  • You have strong negotiation skills.
  • A real self-starter as well as experience in motivating others
  • You understand your contribution to the overall account commercials, with experience in managing project finances.
  • Highly creative with the ability to generate ideas and practically contribute to the design studio output.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other related software
  • Understanding of how to integrate with a client-side team whilst maintaining a top tier agency service.

  • Possess strong gravitas and the ability to build relationships with senior clients.
  • Be a team player with a client-centric focus and the ability to build strong and effective working relationships with colleagues .
  • Have a deep understanding of running an in-house agency.
  • Demonstrated competence in managing teams and leading them to success.
  • Be able to demonstrate ownership of large or complex clients.
  • Have experience with GenAI/ Automation technology and platforms (2 yrs).
  • Have evidenced experience in the FMCG / CPG sectors .
