Role: Social Media Executive

About the role:

Working in partnership with our client (an internationally known B2B organisation), the Social Media Executive will manage and oversee our client’s social media presence by developing and implementing their social media strategy. This is a key role within the team to boost the online visibility for our client and to increase customer engagement as part of their overall outreach strategy. We have been appointed to create a Digital Centre of Excellence within the clients’ pharmaceutical practice. The Digital Centre of Excellence will drive and embed digital best practice. Will support the development and strategy of digital channels. And will understand and grow audience and engagement through all digital touchpoints. Reporting to our client’s Head of Brand & Community, the Social Media Manager Executive will have experience working in a similar role (B2B experience a must) and will be confident in leading social media campaigns (paid and organic) across multiple social channels, specifically LinkedIn. You will be adept at creating engaging digital content with a strong understanding of how to target key audience groups. You will be accustomed to analysing user data and making informed decisions that result in continuous improvement across social media channels. You will be part of a team of 13 within the DCoE where the team are responsible for specific KPI targets, including driving leads via the website and social media campaigns. You will be working in collaboration with the wider marketing team (approximately 34 in the team) and you will be expected to work closely with our client’s other external agencies and partners. 

What you will be doing:

You’ll be responsible for refreshing our client’s social media presence and creating exciting content that aims to connect with our client’s audiences in an impactful and meaningful way. You will be creating and driving the social media strategy for our client and engaging with key audiences via paid social media campaigns – that result in leads and conversions. You will be strategically minded when it comes to planning and executing digital campaigns, alongside analysing engagement data and identifying trends in customer interactions. 

WHAT IS REQUIRED: 

  • A passion for social media and a solid understanding of how to connect with audiences via each platform.
  • Creating / Refreshing the social media presence for a new products and services for our pharmaceutical client.
  • Identifying opportunities for social media channel performance improvement based on user feedback and performance metrics.
  • Evaluating and recommending new social media technologies that may be used for social media management efficiencies.
  • Strategic recommendation on content creation.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and the role that each digital channel plays.
  • Business acumen and an understanding of budget management and forecasting when running social media campaigns.
  • Developing social media strategies with the aim of increasing brand awareness and customer engagement.
  • Creation of monthly reports to the Head of Digital Marketing, outlining any necessary changes to the overall social media plan where you will monitor, track, analyse and report on performance on social media platforms using tools such as Google Analytics.  
  • Develop and oversee social media campaigns to draw attention to our client’s brand, products and services.
  • Setting measurable goals for social media campaigns, measuring, and showing the ROI.
  • Oversee, plan and deliver content across different platforms using scheduling tools.
  • Manage and facilitate social media communities by responding to social media posts and developing discussions. Analyse competitor activity a curiosity to learn about best practice.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate complex information in a simple and clear manner that is understandable.
  • Maintain clear communication, expectations and timelines with internal teammates and external partners on deliverables.
  • Detail-driven, self-starting, and critical mind with the ability to handle multiple projects at once.
  • You will be open and willing to attend sustainability training relevant to your role and soak up recommended research and reading about sustainability issues

What you need to be great in this role:

  • Results driven – creation of and delivery against business plans driven by growth targets
  • Confident working autonomously with partner or 3rd party agencies.
  • Excellent presentation skills – both written and spoken.
  • Understanding of how to integrate with a client-side team whilst maintaining a top tier agency service.
  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical sector would be a benefit, B2B experience is a must.
  • 3+ years of relevant digital marketing experience in a similar role.
  • You can be the change - you prioritise environmental responsibility, social equity, and economic viability and how that translates into your day-to-day role​
