Role: Social Media Manager

About the role:

The opportunity is to take the reins of iconic British household brands that have an award-winning creative ambition. Working in partnership with the Nutrition Digital, Media and Commerce (DMC) team, the Midweight Social Media Manager will take ownership and be the driving force behind other brands across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Twitter.

What you will be doing:

  • Working with the Senior Social Media Manager, you will execute the UK social media strategy for Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok and emerging platforms as required for Pot Noodle, Hellmann’s UK, and Colman’s.
  • Owning the development of the day-to-day content calendar with an emphasis on strategic forward planning to ensure that content is prepped and scheduled on a quarterly basis.
  • Owning and running weekly connects with your brand managers to keep up to date with upcoming marketing activities and campaigns to ensure your content calendar is always up to date with the latest developments.
  • Working closely with and brief internal designers, external agencies, content creators and influencers to create content for the channels, as well as roll up your sleeves to edit footage into engaging Reels when needed.
  • You’ll be responsible for raising and managing tickets for internal creative briefs, working with the ops manager to make sure content is delivered when you need it.
  • Undertaking daily community management, responding to comments, DMs and tagged content while keeping an eye out for usable UGC, gifting opportunities and content inspiration.
  • Seeking out and championing social partnerships and giveaway with other like-minded brands, flagging opportunities to the brand managers and managing the relationship with the partner directly to bring it to life on social.
  • Feeding into influencer plans and opportunities presented by the influencer agency of choice, offering up suggestions based on your social expertise and notable interactions you’ve spotted within the communities.
  • You’ll be responsible for keeping the reporting dashboards for your brands up to date each month, providing ad-hoc snapshot reports to your brand managers that highlight key performance metrics, rich insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Working alongside the Customer Care team and Corporate Comms, you will be responsible for identifying the type and magnitude of social crises and highlighting social considerations when the wider team is planning a strategic response.
  • You’ll have access to the wider OLIVER social team for knowledge sharing and advice along with opportunities to connect with your global social counterparts on a monthly basis.
  • You will be open and willing to attend sustainability training relevant to your role and soak up recommended research and reading about sustainability issues

What you need to be great in this role:

  • 4-5 years of experience directly managing the social media channels for a number of brands simultaneously.
  • A passion for football, gaming, food and of course, all things social media.
  • Expertise in managing multiple stakeholders and their requests with a proven ability to prioritise tasks and manage your own time.
  • Being an ambitious and highly organised individual who’s able to execute work with high attention to detail.
  • A passion for proactivity and working autonomously to get things over the line, managing approvals as you go.
  • Native video editing skills for Instagram Reels, TikTok or other video editing tools like CapCut, InShot etc.
  • Strong experience with social media publishing and analytics through native platforms or tools like Sprinklr.
  • You can be the change - you prioritise environmental responsibility, social equity, and economic viability and how that translates into your day-to-day role
