About the role: 

Working in partnership with our client and reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Exec will develop, monitor, and optimise outbound campaigns designed to drive leads and conversions for our client’s events and digital products offering. The individual will be highly digitally savvy, analytical, and data-oriented with a passion for continuous improvement and learning from past campaign performance. Experience of marketing technologies (email marketing and CMS systems) is a must.This is an excellent role for candidates that have 2+ years of relevant experience and are excited about using their skills alongside strong marketing and sales teams to help drive best in class digital marketing. The Marketing Exec will be accountable for the design and delivery of marketing campaigns in line with business objectives set out within the marketing plans. You will be responsible for adhering to timelines and budgets and reporting on KPI performance and results. You will be part of a team of 12 within the Digital Centre of Excellence where it will be your responsibility for meeting specific KPI targets, such as total conversions and total leads generated. You will be working in collaboration with the wider marketing team (approximately 34 in the team), and you will be expected to work closely with our client’s other external agencies and partners

What you will be doing: 

  • A strong knowledge of SEO, PPC, Data-Analytics, Email Marketing, Social, Website CMS and Display.
  • To send timely, relevant communications through designated mix of channels and optimise the effectiveness of these channels.
  • Working with the marketing team to deliver content calendar through designated channels (email marketing, social media, digital marketing, etc).
  • Ensuring all marketing collateral, email marketing, website content and digital marketing is thoroughly proofed, adheres to brand guidelines and agreed brand standards.
  • Strategy development to optimize each channel against KPIs.
  • Ability to manage budget and spend, and to inform channel annual planning.
  • Analysing previous performance to recommend marketing and optimisation strategies to maximise relevant traffic and conversion.
  • Working with data & insights specialists to capture relevant and timely data (onsite & post show surveys, registration forms, industry research etc).
  • Share relevant insights with marketing manager to drive revenues or pursue new opportunities.
  • Provide pre-agreed reports during and post campaign to monitor channel effectiveness and ROI.
  • Become part of a culture of testing and metrics-driven decision making in the team.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Strategy & Planning Marketing Leaders to intake regional campaign strategies, stories, and KPIs.
  • Partner with Creative to ensure creative assets developed meet the needs of the performance marketing plan, including opportunities to test and learn. Identify creative gaps based on changing media landscape.
  • Excellent communication skills with an analytical and questioning mindset, and the ability to articulate complex information in a simple and clear manner that is understandable.
  • Maintain clear communication, expectations and timelines with internal teammates and external partners on deliverables.
  • Curiosity to identify insights and best practices to read and continually optimise performance based on results.
  • You will be open and willing to attend sustainability training relevant to your role and soak up recommended research and reading about sustainability issues

What you need to be great in this role: 

  •  Fast learner and committed to personal development and growth.
  •  Experience of using email marketing platforms.
  •  Experience of working with databases and data selection/management software.
  •  Experience of marketing analytics and reporting platforms (Google Analytics/Adobe or others).
  •  Database development and growth including segmentation / advanced targeting.
  •  Results driven – creation of and delivery against business plans driven by growth targets.
  •  Confident working autonomously with partner or 3rd party agencies.
  •  Excellent presentation skills – both written and spoken.
  •  Understanding of how to integrate with a client-side team whilst maintaining a top tier agency service.
  •  Experience in the Pharmaceutical sector would be a benefit, B2B experience is necessary.
  •  2+ years of relevant digital marketing experience.
