About the role:

We are looking for a copywriter who is passionate about nailing every brief to join our in-house studio for our client, who is a global leader in premium drinks and owns/operates some of the worlds best-known and respected spirits, beer and non-alcoholic brands. We need someone who can craft website copy that informs, inspires and serves the needs of independent business owners/operators for the client. As with any traditional Copywriter role, a keen eye for grammar and clean formatting is paramount, as well as the ability to proof-read both your own and others’ work. You will have strong presentations skill and must be happy to present both internally and externally to clients. This is where you can bring to life your thoughts and ideas concisely. At IIG, we build agency teams to work in-house in partnership with brands. This role will be sitting within the digital and social team we’ve created and works with a range of global-level clients and local markets around the world. We work within a hybrid set-up, which includes being present at the OLIVER office in Rosebery Avenue two days a week.

What you will be doing:

  • Roles and responsibilities 
  • Write original, engaging and brand-aligned copy for our client’s B2B website, including, but not limited to, content pages (trends and insights, training), campaign activations, marketing tools, CTAs, product descriptions  
  • Brainstorm visual and copy ideas in collaboration with a integrated designer, strategy director and design lead to ensure copy integrates with overall website experience and strategy framework 
  • Stay up to date on web copy best practices 
  • Be able to interpret content insights and data provided by client and/or analytics team, and ultimately make recommendations for how to pivot copy and content accordingly 
  • Act as a guardian of the TOV of your brand, working closely with the team to ensure consistency and accuracy 
  • Quality control on content that is uploaded and pushed live to the website 
  • Content planning and plan, including researching and content curation  
  • Work as part of a team that supports clients in creating and delivering outstanding digital products and websites that drive our brand reputation and deliver business results 
  • Presenting your work confidently internally and to clients  
  • You will be open and willing to attend sustainability training relevant to your role and soak up recommended research and reading about sustainability issues

What you need to be great in this role:

  • 4-6 years of copywriting experience working in a digital agency or marketing team.
  • Experience working with beverage/spirits brands or retail/FMCG brands or luxury brands is a plus.
  • Experience working with data and using it to write impactful copy for the website
  • A team player who possesses the ability to build strong and effective working relationships.
  • The ability to craft copy across all media; adapting your writing style to different creative outputs.
  • Are self-motivated, proactive and collaborative with a positive attitude and great communication skills.
  • Write copy that is inclusive and easy to understand by everyone
  • You can be the change - you prioritise environmental responsibility, social equity, and economic viability and how that translates into your day-to-day role
