Location: Birmingham England, United Kingdom (Full-time, 3-days a week on site)

About the role: 

Join our dynamic team as a Mid-Weight Designer, where you'll lead exciting design projects for corporate brands as part of our agency services. You'll work both independently and collaboratively with clients and teams to create impactful multichannel designs that adhere to and occasionally push brand guidelines. Your role will involve taking projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining design excellence.

With over 5 years of design agency experience, you'll simplify complex challenges through design thinking, utilizing your proficiency in Adobe CC and understanding of modern design styles. You’ll develop strong client relationships and work closely with an international team, presenting your ideas confidently and incorporating feedback seamlessly. What you will be doing: 

  • Lead design projects for a corporate brand as part of a wider agency service  
  • Scope new projects independently and in collaboration with the team and client  
    as a dedicated design expert 
  • Create new designs for brand communications against brand and visual guidelines 
  • Deliver multichannel designs that communicate the briefs core objectives within brand guidelines and beyond where appropriate 
  • Support the agency teams’ mission to deliver creative excellence across all brand touch points 
  • Work independently and in partnership with the team and client to deliver projects on schedule and within overall scope 
  • Develop strong and proactive relationships across all brand clients to build a positive and delivery focused partnership 
  • Take work from initial concepts to design and asset creation independently  
    and with wider agency team depending on project scope and timelines  
  • Always maintain best creative and design practices across all work 
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in design technology, new techniques and emerging technology to create work effectively while retaining quality  

What you need to be great in this role: 

  • 5 years+ creative/design agency experience 
  • Experience in corporate brands and environments 
  • Ability to simplify complex challenges using design thinking  
  • Expertise in designing first-class brand activity for recognisable brands 
  • A passionate approach with strong interpersonal skills  
  • Ability to understand client challenges and develop designs for multichannel  
    brand projects that answer/solve them 
  • Proficiency in Adobe CC software, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Firefly 
  • Knowledge of motion graphics and animation a bonus  
  • A thorough understanding of layout, colour, typography, photography and  
    modern design styles and approaches 
  • Brilliant communication skills and the ability to work well within an international agency team 
  • Able to take designs through to artwork and assets for a variety of corporate communications 
  • A desire to continually improve and create market-leading designs 
  • Meticulous eye for detail, craft and interpreting brand guidelines effectively 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, proactive and solution focused 
  • Confidence in presenting design work to clients and stakeholders independently  
  • Ability to receive and apply feedback to work 
  • Can work in collaboration with a team to prioritise projects and workload and  
    work independently to deliver work directly for clients
