Position: Senior Social Media Manager, FTC - 24 month (f/m/d)

Location: Hamburg, Germany (Office presence expected at minimum 2 days per week)

 

About the role:

Step into the role of Senior Social Media Manager at OLIVER's acclaimed in-house agency. This is your chance to lead the creation of engaging and culturally vibrant content for distinguished Personal Care brands, driving impactful digital storytelling across leading social platforms. Your strategic oversight will direct how millions experience the beauty in Personal Care, blending creativity with purpose. Your guidance will craft content that stands out on Instagram, TikTok, and emerging channels. With a focus on aesthetic excellence, you'll ensure our brands not only keep up with trends but set them. With a deep-seated passion for the Personal Care sector, you live at the intersection of social media and cultural movements. Your expert command of social platforms allows you to strategically utilize transitions, edits, and sounds that resonate with target audiences. We're in search of an innovative and culturally savvy Senior Social Media Manager specializing in the Personal Care category. Your role will be pivotal in ideation, leadership, and expedited execution of organic, culturally charged visual and multimedia content across social media (predominantly Instagram, TikTok, and beyond). You will be instrumental in weaving our brands into relevant social conversations, leveraging insights to enhance brand engagement and customer loyalty. Collaborating closely with our GenAI and Influencer teams, you'll magnify and optimize the cultural relevance and impact of our content. 

What you will be doing:

  • Strategically conceptualize and direct the creation of platform-optimized content that relates Personal Care brands to cultural moments instantly. 
  • Lead the adoption of advanced visual techniques that encapsulate the sensory satisfaction of premium content in Personal Care storytelling. 
  • Develop robust asset packages adaptable across formats while establishing solid brand narratives. 
  • Inspire and supervise the reactive content creation that positions our brands at the core of trending discussions. 
  • Partner with analytics and GenAI teams to refine content performance and streamline production processes. 
  • Transform brand guidelines into dynamic, platform-native content experiences that resonate authentically. 
  • Infuse visual storytelling methods from related categories into Personal Care narratives. 
  • Anticipate platform algorithm shifts and upcoming content formats to maintain a competitive advantage. 
  • Ensure consistently exceeding category benchmarks for engagement, affinity, and brand sentiment. 

What you need to be great in this role:

  • A compelling portfolio demonstrating superior social media content leadership, emphasizing projects with Personal Care and premium/FMCG brands. 
  • Native proficiency in German (C2) and fluent in English (both spoken and written) for successful global collaboration.
  • Strong expertise in visual storytelling, effectively linking platform-specific techniques to tangible engagement outcomes. 
  • Proven track record of identifying and capitalizing on cultural trends ahead of their peak. 
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Premiere Pro and After Effects) and mobile editing tools. 
  • Experience in tailoring content to excel on Instagram, TikTok, and novel platforms. 
  • Talent for translating technical product virtues into visually appealing narratives. 
  • Ability to manage high-paced work environments without compromising quality. 
  • Sharp insight into the next prominent visual trends and their authentic application to Personal Care brands. 
  • Proven ability in leading, developing, mentoring, and inspiring high-performing teams, with a strong focus on fostering growth and collaboration.
